Earlier this week, PW Insider reported on two items related to Impact’s Bound For Glory PPV tomorrow night (Sat., Oct. 23). One was that the company was planning “several surprises” for the show from Las Vegas. Another was that Impact Executive Vice-President Scott D’Amore had a long meeting with Adam “Braun Strowman” Scherr.
It didn’t take a degree in rumorology to connect those dots. But you don’t have to, because today Insider’s MIke Johnson is reporting they’ve been connected for you.
Scherr, who Johnson says will work as “The Titan”, is expected to debut this weekend for Impact. That will most likely happen at Bound For Glory, but there are two days of television tapings scheduled for the same Sam’s Town venue on Sunday & Monday, so there are several ways Impact could introduce the former WWE Universal champion this weekend.
A former Strongman who was prominently featured on WWE television throughout much of eight years with the company - including a WrestleMania program with Shane McMahon earlier this year, Scherr was surprisingly released by WWE in June. He’s worked sparingly since then, most prominently with his friend EC3 on Free The Narrative II. But a move to Impact has been forecast by many industry observers for quite some time.
Looks like it’s going to happen this weekend. Excited to see what fka Braun can do in Impact?
