Heath finally signs Impact contract with one important condition

Oh, baby! Heath finally signed his contract with Impact Wrestling.

After the deal was earned at last year’s Bound for Glory, Heath was iced out due to injury. He went through the proper steps for recovery, and now Scott D’Amore honored his word to make him an official member of the Impact roster. However, Heath had one important condition before putting pen to paper.

Heath requested a tag match against Violent by Design at Bound for Glory on October 23. The idea is for Heath to reconnect with best friend Rhino and undo Eric Young’s brainwashing. That will be easier said than done, especially since Rhino is incommunicado.

Last week, Heath only gave Rhino a few minutes notice to show up in the ring for a conversation. That resulted badly when Rhino did not show, and VBD beat up Heath. With ten days before Bound for Glory, perhaps that gives Rhino enough time to learn of the match, even if it takes a messenger pigeon to deliver the news. If Rhino no-shows, then Heath accepts the consequences to wrestle alone against VBD.

This story seems to be setting up for a jubilant reunion of best friends. Let’s hope that’s the case, because Rhino remaining a bad guy would be a sad moment in Heath’s Impact journey.

Do you believe Rhino will have Heath’s back at Bound for Glory?
