Impact celebrated women’s wrestling with their Knockouts Knockdown special event. It was only fitting that the next inductee into the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame was announced at the show. Welcome Awesome Kong to the select group.
Christy Hemme provided the introduction.

Kong was humbled to be considered for the honor. She was there at the birth of the Knockouts division, and it fills her with pride to see the same tenacity in today’s Knockouts.
Unfortunately, it was a bittersweet feeling being there. Kong appreciated the acknowledgement of her life’s work, but her main priority was to pay homage to Daffney’s legacy. Daffney opened doors for women to compete in matches like Monster’s Ball. Kong’s parting message was to open the door for the next generation. If not you, who? If not now, when?
"Do something that opens the door for the next generation cause if not you, who? If not now, when?"

The ceremony will take place at Bound for Glory on October 23.
