Dust off your cutte! Impact is bringing back Aces & Eights and other TNA stars

In an effort to stand out from the pack of Wrestlemania week shows, Impact announced their event would be a throwback to the company’s TNA days. TNA: There’s No Place Like Home on April 3 will be a celebration of the past.

Impact has been announcing the former TNA talents invited to participate throughout the past week. Here is the list (so far):

  • Chris Sabin
  • “Wildcat” Chris Harris
  • Scott Steiner
  • Petey Williams
  • Amazing Red
  • Disco Inferno
  • D’Lo Brown & Ken Anderson as Aces & Eights

There will also be an Ultimate X match for the X-Division. I wouldn’t be surprised if Sabin, Williams, and Amazing Red were all included in that contest. In honor of Sabin, enjoy the top 5 moments from his TNA career.

If you are wondering about former Knockouts for this show, you are not alone. Gail Kim and Taya would also like to know.

Back to the confirmed list, the standout for me is Aces and Eights.

Aces & Eights was a 17 month storyline from June 2012 to November 2013 of an invading biker faction, which turned out to be led by Bully Ray. I didn’t even remember D’Lo and Mr. Anderson were part of that group. Ironically enough, Aces & Eights was officially disbanded due to stipulation when Anderson defeated Bully Ray. I hope this event is a ploy to get revenge on Anderson after all these years.

D’Lo and Anderson may not be the only members showing up. Impact teased, “As we know, the Aces and Eights like to travel as a unit.” That got me thinking about potential appearances from the member list. Garett Bischoff and Wes Brisco are two names I haven’t heard from in awhile, but my preferred pick would be 2nd Sgt. at Arms Tito Ortiz. I wonder if he still has his Aces and Eights cutte.

As you wait for TNA: There’s No Place Like Home on April 3, jam to the Aces and Eights theme song.

Do you like Impact list’s of TNA stars being brought back? Is it enough for you to give Impact your attention during Wrestlemania week? Who else would you like to see at the show?
