Intergender 6-way scramble for X-Division Championship scheduled for Bound for Glory

Rohit Raju gets no respect. After stealing the show against Willie Mack at Victory Road, he was back for another Defeat Rohit Challenge on Impact Wrestling (Oct. 6, 2020). Rohit’s strategic tactics backfired and now he has to defend the X-Division Championship in an intergender 6-way scramble at the Bound for Glory PPV on October 24.

Rohit opened his time with a promo explaining how is the most caring, sharing, kindest person on the Impact roster by giving out opportunities. It is not his problem that wrestlers can’t take advantage. Rohit asked for his next challenger.

Enter Willie Mack, again. Mack was back after winning at Victory Road via intentional count-out. Rohit wasn’t having it. Mack had his shot and didn’t get the job done. Rohit asked for someone who has yet to have an opportunity. Enter Jordynne Grace.

Ding, ding, ding rang the opening bell. Rohit stalled with extra stretching. He was reluctant to hand over the title belt to the referee, so Mack tugged on it from outside the ring. Grace ran over to take advantage with a surprise bridging roll-up. 1, 2, 3! Grace is the new X-Division champion? Not so fast.

Rohit declared that it was not a title bout. He exited backstage still king of the X-Division. Big cheese Scott D’Amore met him with applause and sarcastic praise.

D’Amore stated that since Rohit was such a big believer in opportunities, then he will put up the gold in a 6-way scramble against Grace, Mack, Chris Bey, TJP, and Trey Miguel at Bound for Glory.

In my opinion, Rohit got the shaft from D’Amore. It’s not Rohit’s fault that he continues to come out still holding the title. Rohit’s backtracking against Grace shows what a terrible leader D’Amore is. As man in charge of Impact, D’Amore should know the rules of the Defeat Rohit Challenge. If anything, this is all D’Amore’s fault. Rohit should bring in a lawyer to get out of the scramble match. What’s David Otunga up to these days?

The Bound for Glory card currently stands at:

  • Impact World Championship: Eric Young (c) vs Rich Swann
  • Knockouts Championship: Deonna Purrazzo (c) vs Kylie Rae
  • Tag Team Championship: Motor City Machine Guns (c) vs Good Brothers vs The North vs Ace Austin & Madman Fulton
  • X-Division Championship Scramble: Rohit Raju (c) vs Jordynne Grace vs Willie Mack vs Chris Bey vs TJP vs Trey Miguel

Who’s your pick to emerge as X-Division champ after Bound for Glory? Does adding Jordynne Grace to fight against men increase your interest in the 6-way scramble?
