The Whole F’n Show was already set to return to Impact for their show in New Jersey this week, but like much of the card for the United We Stand pay-per-view (PPV) happening Thurs., April 4, RVD & Sabu vs. Lucha Bros felt like a one-off.
And it probably still is for the Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal, Death–Defying Maniac. But Rob Van Dam and Impact have announced he’ll be sticking around with the company, continuing on from WrestleMania week to work their television tapings later this month in Toronto:
BREAKING: RVD is BACK!
— IMPACT (@IMPACTWRESTLING) April 3, 2019
As reported by @sportingnews, United We Stand won't be the last you'll see of @TherealRVD in IMPACT!
He'll make his IMPACT TV return on April 29th in Toronto!

In an interview with The Sporting News touting the news, Van Dam says the contract “does have a beginning and an end, but they can extend”. He also points to his schedule last year, when he worked 10-12 matches, and says “this year it will be a little more, but not much more than that”.
Bringing back someone with RVD’s name recognition is the latest move Impact’s made as they try to keep their share of wrestling fans’ attention in a crowded 2019 market place. It won’t help as much as a better television deal likely would, but it’s understandable.
Excited to see Mr. [checks notes to see what night Impact airs on Pursuit Channel] Friday Night back in the mix?
