Killer Kross may be coming to a television set near you. Fans of psychological villains, rejoice. Kross is now free to run amok on your grappling heroes.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful was first to report that Kross is a free agent without any no-compete clause. Impact confirmed that news with a statement:
IMPACT Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Kevin Kesar (Killer Kross).
Kross had been in contract purgatory with Impact Wrestling since July. There were rumored disputes over monetary guarantees, merchandise payments, and availability of medical staff.
One of Kross’ first acts was to release a creepy hype trailer for his next move. MLW, NWA, ROH, NJPW, AEW, and WWE are all teased.
WWE or NXT seems like a logical choice since his current gal pal, Scarlett Bordeaux, is signed. They are a fantastic pair together as a wrestling couple.
Personally, I’d like to see him in AEW. Kross would make a great fit as the leader of the Nightmare Collective. He already has a bald head, so Awesome Kong wouldn’t need to spend time taking his hair. AEW has a relationship with AAA, so Kross could keep dates in Mexico as a member of the new Ingobernables faction with Rush. Let’s not forget a potential feud with Jon Moxley. They have unfinished business from the indie scene.
Where would you like to see Killer Kross sign? What dream matches are you hoping to see for Kross?
