Impact Wrestling hosts their Homecoming pay-per-view (PPV) tonight (Jan. 6) from the Asylum in Nashville, Tennessee.

The event is headlined by an Impact world title match between champion Johnny Impact and challenger Brian Cage, who relinquished his X Division title for the opportunity. Also Tessa Blanchard defends her Knockouts title against Taya Valkyrie with Gail Kim as the referee. LAX will defend their titles against the Lucha Brothers. Plus, there will be an Ultimate X match to crown a new X Division champion.

This show is offered on pay-per-view (in the US) and Fite TV (US and international).

We’ll update the results tonight as they happen, and feel free to use this space to discuss all the action with the best pro wrestling community on the internet - before, during and after the show.

- Rich Swann def. Ethan Page, Jake Crist, & Trey Miguel in a wild Ultimate X match to win the vacant X Division championship

- Dark Allie & Su Yung def. Kiera Hogan & Jordynne Grace when Allie locks in the mandible claw on Kiera with Su’s nasty glove. After the match, Su calls for her bridesmaids and the coffin.... BUT ROSEMARY IS IN THE COFFIN! ROSEMARY IS BACK! SHE FIGHTS OFF BRIDESMAIDS AND THEN TOSSES SU INTO ALL OF THEM!

Rosemary, who has more of a demonic look than prior, stalks Allie, who looks terrified. Rosemary tries to pat her friend on her head like she used to, but Allie freaks out and runs out of the ring.

- Eddie Edwards def. Moose in a Falls Count Anywhere match

At the end of the match, Eddie is wailing Moose with his kendo stick when Alisha runs out and takes the the kendo stick from him and tells him it’s enough... AND THEN SHE STARTS BEATING MOOSE WITH THE KENDO STICK! Then a few more from Eddie and a DDT gets the 1-2-3.

- Sami Callihan def. Willie Mack with a piledriver.

Dave Crist got involved multiple times and Mack kicked out at 1 multiple times at the end of the match prior to the finish.

- Eli Drake vs. Abyss in a Monster’s Ball match after breaking the oar he brings to the ring over Abyss’ head.

In the middle of the match, the referee took some tacks to the face (later, Eli would get choke slammed into those tacks).

- LAX (c) def. the Lucha Bros to retain the tag team championships in a bonkers match

Konnan comes out after the match and admits he was wrong pushing against this match. The teams shake hands and embrace afterwards.

- Taya Valkyrie def. Tessa Blanchard (c) to win the Knockouts title

Gail Kim was the special referee and Tessa tried her too much. In the middle of the match, Tessa accidentally hit Gail with a forearm so Gail was not able to count the pinfall after Tessa delivered the Buzzsaw. She then tried to use the championship as a weapon thinking Gail was still down, but Kim ripped it from her and accidentally hit Taya with it. Taya was able to kick out.

At the end of the match, Tessa was getting more and more frustrated that she couldn’t put Taya away. She eventually got into Gail’s face and tried to choke her so Kim delivered Eat Defeat and Taya delivered the Road to Valhalla for the win.

- Johnny Impact (c) vs. Brian Cage for the Impact world championship

Cage hit the Drill Claw, but the referee was out of the ring trying to prevent Johnny’s stupid Survivor friends from jumping the rail. Then Johnny hit a Sunset Flip over the top rope and looks like he may have gotten a 3. (It was a bit sloppy.)

Cage tosses the belt at Johnny and stormed off. Johnny celebrates with Taya.

Afterwards, Killer Kross attacks Johnny from behind. Taya tries to attack her but powerbombs her into the crowd!

That’s the show, folks. Thanks for watching along with us!
