We’ll be here at 8 EST when Impact starts, so come join us!

She is susceptible, he is impossible, they have their cross to share, three of a perfect pair. He has his contradicting views, she has her cyclothymic moods, they make a study in despair, three of a perfect pair, but me, I’m a solitary unit here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with a recap of last week’s show.

Aerostar, Hijo del Vikingo, & Laredo Kid vs. oVe (Dave Crist, Jake Crist, & Sami Callihan)

Kid and Callihan to start, shoving at each other, Sami drags him in his corner and tags Dave in, leading both trios to be in the ring at the same time and we’ve got a brawl! Laredo with a forearm to take Crist out, whip across, enzuigiri, a boot sends Dave to the floor, Kid’s fired up, off the ropes... and Jake cuts him off! Swinging neckbreaker fakeout into a northern superkick, another superkick, a crescent kick and Aerostar springboards in with an arm drag!

Ropewalk Frankensteiner, off the ropes, Sami cuts him off, revolution powerbomb! Vikingo with a springboard, off the ropes, leapfrog, cartwheel, walking on his hands into an enzuigiri but he runs into a pump kick from Callihan! Into the post, Hijo evades, snaps off a headscissors takeover, oVe on the floor, off the ropes... TOPE CON GIRO GETS CAUGHT AND THE OHIO BOYS POWERBOMB HIM INTO THE APRON!

Kid and Star with double dropkicks to blast them off the apron, Aerostar standing on his shoulders in the turnbuckles... diving splash to the floor! LAREDO KID WITH A MOONSAULT AND VIKINGO FINISHES WITH A SHOOTING STAR PRESS! Throwing Sami into the barricade, back in the ring, up top, dive over, Callihan cuts Laredo off with a lariat! Mounted punches, clawing at his face, oVe have him isolated and hip toss him into a superkick from Jake!

Another double hip toss for good measure, Hijo in, a crazy corkscrew headscissors takeover, Crist snaps a powerslam into the ropes, sets him up on the second, superkick to the back of the neck, double superkick-assisted spin-out reverse STO... KID BREAKS IT UP! Taking Hijo into the corner, but he counters another double hip toss with a seated senton and tags Aerostar in!

Off the ropes, handspring double Stunner, to the apron, springboard Codebreaker to Dave! Vikingo shooting star press, Laredo 450 splash, they all make the cover but Jake and Sami break it up! oVe isolated with kicks but when the AAA guys charge in... MARTINETES IN TRIPLICATE CAN’T PUT THEM AWAY! Electric chairs...

oVe win by pinfall with the All-Seeing Eye.

Backstage, Rich Swann runs into Matt Sydal, who says they’ve just had misunderstandings but he believes in Rich. He received a divine transmission to his third eye that they were supposed to become a tag team tonight, and Swann’s hot because he wants the singles match he was promised. Sydal sells him on the opportunity as being against the best tag team in the world, the Lucha Brothers of Fenix and Pentagon, Jr.

Rich doesn’t care what the universe wants or what Matt thinks, but it’s a pretty good match as long as Sydal doesn’t screw it up.

Tessa Blanchard rolls into the locker room and accosts a luchadora for putting her things in her spot and tells her to go. Faby Apache rolls up to yell at her and tell her she’s not going to dishonor anyone, but Tessa says around here she’s the champion and she’s got a better locker room around here somewhere.

Commentary hypes up the rest of the show.

Eli Drake makes his entrance and cuts a promo about how he came to Mexico City looking for a real challenge. He can’t stop the gravy train and he’s got a first-class ticket for anybody who wants to walk down that ramp, so we’ve got an open challenge...

Trevor Lee answers, referee in hand!

Eli Drake vs. Trevor Lee

Drake putting boots to him in the corner but Lee pulls him chest-first into the buckles and turns the tide, stomping away himself. Posing for the crowd, Trevor resumes putting boots to him, uppercut, whip reversed, but a forearm dumps Eli to the floor! To the apron, Penalty Kick caught, reversed into a trip and we go back inside. Drake chokes him over the middle rope and lands a guillotine leg drop from the apron!

Posing on the floor, back in, Trevor catches him with a Stun Gun and then a backbreaker... NOPE! Taking him corner to corner for uppercuts, putting boots to him and choking him again, but Drake catches him with a lariat. Off the ropes, back body drop scouted but Eli gets a mat slam and a shoulder powerslam! Fired up, fireman’s carry, Gravy Train reversed into a schoolboy but Drake escapes!

Fireman’s carry again...

Eli Drake wins by pinfall with the Gravy Train.

We cut to the OGz in an alley somewhere talking about how bad Mexico City is. King says they have to get Konnan and LAX to break their little truce because they’re week in mind and soul. They like arm drags here, and he gives Homicide and Hernandez the night off because he’s gonna show Konnan and the LAX young boy marks what happens when he gives the spinning backfist.

No arm drags, just straight violence. The King don’t miss.

We get a hype reel for Impact’s New York taping next month.

Kronoz vs. King

King with a handshakebut Hernandez and Homicide jump Kronoz and wipe him out with an Ace Crusher before the bell! Eddie’s ready...

King wins by pinfall with Backfist to the Future.

He calls Konnan and LAX out and tells them not to worry about the ceasefire. When they don’t come out, he runs them down as cowards and says they don’t have the heart like the OGz, and they run it.

Cut to LAX and Konnan backstage, with LAX all hot about what happened and wanting to break the ceasefire. Konnan says the OGz don’t play, and if they break the ceasefire they’ll get a 50-gallon drum of acid and they’ll end up disappeared, so go ahead and break it, but he’s gonna wait until Bound for Glory and he’s gonna kick King’s uterus into the next millenium.

He asks if LAX are gonna wait and fall into his trap, and Santana concedes that they shouldn’t and they end the segment all fired up.

Alisha Edwards vs. Faby Apache

Circling, collar and elbow, Apache with a waistlock, standing switch, leg pick, spin into a kneebar and she turns it into an inverted deathlock before moving onto a wristlock. Reversed, arm drag, legsweep, covers don’t even get one and we’ve got a stalemate! Faby calling for a test of strenght but it’s a ruse and they trade leg kicks. Trading slaps, Apache with a snapmare into a dropkick to the head!

Double leg into a leg drop, only two, Romero Special, Edwards escapes, electric chair spun into a Frankensteiner! Victory roll pin follows... NOPE! Faby slow to rise, Alisha gets up on her, whip across but she runs into a superkick for two! Headscissors armbar from Edwards, Apache gets the ropes, Alisha with forearms and chops, off the ropes, flying lariat connects!

Reverse STO gets a tight nearfall, diving crossbody connects but Faby recovers...

Faby Apache wins by pinfall with a sitout powerbomb.

Josh Mathews interviews Apache after the match, and through an interpreter she says she’s been representing women’s wrestling around the world but she wants to wrestle Tessa Blanchard because she’s the new girl that thinks she’s hot stuff, essentially.

Texano, Jr. is interviewed backstage. He welcomes Austin Aries to Mexico and says Aries has Kross and Moose, but he’s got his fist and his bullrope, and you’ll see when he rides his horse into the sunset as Impact Champion.

Scarlett Bordeaux says she’s got something big for us next week.

Lucha Brothers (Fenix & Pentagon, Jr.) vs. Matt Sydal & Rich Swann

Swann and Fenix to start, circling, Rich with a waistlock, standing switch, again, shoot off, Fenix catches himself, Tiger feint kick, dueling handspring, standing shooting star press comes up empty and we’ve got a stalemate! Tags made, Cero Miedo vs. third eye taunt exchange, Matt with a jumping kick, Lucha Brothers run interference, wheelbarrow cutter connects and Penta wipes Swann out with a superkick when he dives for the save!

Double stomp-assisted powerbomb gets a nearfall, Sydal back in, cut off with a superkick, rolling wheelbarrow gets another nearfall! Matt rises to his feet, he and Pentagon trade big overhand chops, Sydal lands flush with a superkick... NOPE! Swann tags in, slingshot onto Penta, drawing him up, tossing him into the corner, laying chops and forearms in, snapmare into a kick to the back follows.

Fenix teases getting in but backs off and Sydal tags in with a leg kick. Double whip, Penta has the back body drop scouted, crescent kick staggers Rich and Fenix hits a double handspring Ace Crusher on both his opponents! Swann picks Pentagon off but Fenix hits a corkscrew tope into the crush! Fenxis with a superkick on the floor, he slingshots in and Rich catches him with a gamengiri before hitting a corkscrew dive of his own to send us to break.

Back from break, Sydal counters a Fenix Frankensteiner into a powerbomb but the luchador sidesteps the follow up and lands a kick! Matt with a knee for separation, both men down and out and crawling for their partners and Sydal’s the one that gets the tag. Setting Fenix up top together, Rich fends Penta off, setting him in the opposite corner but the Lucha Bros shove them off and we get mixed Frankensteiners and Swann getting a nearfall on Fenix!

Arguing over traffic, Pentagon with the cutoff, Fenix double stomp to the back of Rich’s neck... APRON FEAR FACTOR ON SYDAL! Fenix gets Swann up...

Lucha Brothers win by pinfall with the Muscle Buster Driver from Fenix on Rich Swann.

oVe come to ringside and surround the Lucha Brothers with the numbers advantage! BRIAN CAGE MAKES THE SAVE BEFORE THEY CAN ATTACK! oVe give the thumbs up, thumbs down from the apron and Penta responds with the Cero Miedo from the ring.

Austin Aries and his crew are backstage for an interview. Boy, Moose got colorful since the last time I saw him. Austin Aries said he looked up El Texano (translation, The Texan), and why is he wrestling him in Mexico City? Because everybody else is gone, so they had to dig deep and find the best from another country. He did his research, Texano’s no joke, his father’s a legend, but he’s not gonna fill his boots by beating Aries because he’s the best in the world at what he does.

The Desi Hit Squad are backstage getting massages hyped up about their non-title match next week when Gama Singh rolls up to berate them for getting ahead of themselves and order them back to their training.

They spar a bit and he shakes their hands and bids them good luck.

Grado and Joe Hendry’s video premieres now, followed by our GWN flashback for the week, Chris Sabin vs. Matt Bentley vs. Petey Williams in an Ultimate X Match.

A video package recapping and summarizing the Knockouts Championship scene follows.

Commentary hypes up Faby Apache vs. Tessa Blanchard, Brian Crist vs. Jake Crist, LAX vs. Desi Hit Squad, and Allie & Kiera Hogan vs. Su Yung & Undead Bridesmaid for next week before tossing to a video package announcing our newest inductee to the Impact Hall of Fame...

Abyss, in all of his many personalities!

Austin Aries (c) vs. Texano, Jr. (Impact World Heavyweight Championship)

Circling, collar and elbow, Aries with a wristlock, Texano reverses but Austin is able to turn it right back around on him. Shot off, up and over, cartwheel and an armdrag regain the champion control. Reverse to a headscissors, handstand escape and Aries grandstands in the turnbuckles! Challenger to the floor, referee counting and warning A Double off until he gets back in and they circle.

Side headlock from Texano, shot off, shoulder block, handspring, Flair Flip, forearm from the apron into a slingshot senton atomico! Aries begs off as Texano taunts in the turnbuckles, turnabout! Overhand clubs from the champion, whip across, back body drop to the apron, shoulder block and he snaps his challenger’s neck over the top rope!

Slingshot senton of his own, Texano gets the knees up and runs him to the floor with a forearm! Chop on the floor, dragging the champion around, arm wringer into a kick to the ribs and we go to break.

Back from break, Aries is in control in the ring, kicks and forearms, a back rake, kick to the midsection, slamming his face into the turnbuckles and putting boots to him. Whip reversed and reversed again, another back rake, whip reversed, up and over but Texano’s ready with a forearm and a few back rakes of his own! Duck a lariat, tilt-a-whirl backbreaker connects and Texano follows with chops in the corner.

Whip reversed, up and over, back roll into a leaping leg lariat... NOPE! Austin rolls to the floor with his entourage and motions that it’s over, he’s done, but he heads back into the ring with Texano’s bullrope in hand. The referee takes it away from him, Kross slides the title belt in but again the ref catches him and takes it away! Texano with the rope, superkick, whipping him before the ref turns around... BUT A DOUBLE GETS HIS FOOT ON THE ROPE!

Drawing him up, looking for a powerbomb, countered... BRAINBUSTER! IT’S OVER!

Austin Aries wins by pinfall with the brainbuster to retain the Impact World Heavyweight Championship.

Johnny Impact appears on the tron, cutting a promo on Aries about how he’s realized there’s no line Aries won’t cross to retain his title. They nearly ended his career, so congratulations, he’s on the shelf and might not be cleared in time for Bound for Glory. But he promises that sooner or later his neck will heal, and you’ll be seeing him.

Maybe even a little sooner than you think.

Aries gets on the mic and says he’s not stupid, he knows Johnny’s here and he sends Killer Kross and Moose out to find him. He’s on the ramp! Impact slides in the ring and waits for Austin to turn around before punching him in the face! Mounted punches follow, superkick for Korss, hip attack blasts Moose off the apron and Aries only barely sidesteps the superkick!

Eddie and Johnny stand tall together in the ring.

That’s the show, folks.
