The numbers are in for this week’s episode (Aug. 9) of Impact Wrestling, and viewership tanked this week. The viewership went from 248K to 168K. This is the year’s new low.
Among the coveted 18-49 demographic, the rating number dropped from 0.05 to 0.04.
They advertised a championship match this week between Austin Aries and Eddie Edwards. That wasn’t enough to end their current skid.
They continue to go against preseason football, this week with a national game pulling in about two million viewers. That doesn’t take into account games only broadcast in the region of teams. Regular season football usually does at least twice as well as these preseason numbers.
They advertised an LAX/OGz street fight for next week as well as Allie vs. Su Yung (non-title) and Fenix vs. Sami Callihan.
The numbers from the last month:
- This week: 168K / 0.04
