Austin Aries beats Pentagon Jr. to win the Impact world title after multiple restarts and a low blow

@ImpactWrestling

Austin Aries is back on top in Impact.

Back at the Redemption pay-per-view (PPV), Aries lost the wold title to Pentagon Jr. in a triple threat match that also included Fenix. Tonight (May 31) on Impact, he finally received his rematch.

The match ended up having to be restarted multiple times before they got to this finish.

The first time, Austin Aries locked in his Last Chancery submission on the floor and didn’t get the champ back in the ring before getting counted out. He wasn’t happy with that, grabbed a microphone, and challenged Pentagon to restart the match. The champ agreed.

Soon after that, Pentagon delivered a package pile driver to Aries on the apron. Both spilled onto the floor and once again, they were counted out.

This time, it was the champ who insisted on restarting the match, getting into the face of Aries and giving the Cero Meido gesture right in his face.

Austin told the ref to ring the bell. When the official turned his back to do so, Aries kicked Pentagon right between the legs. He then delivered his brainbuster and scored the 1-2-3.

Austin Aries cheated his way to winning the title back.

Slimy heel Aries is the Aries we all know and love.
