Impact Wrestling spoilers from April 24: Title changes, debuts

Impact Wrestling’s Twitter

Impact Wrestling continued building out from their Redemption pay-per-view (PPV) on Tuesday with the second night of their second taping under the direction of Don Callis and Scott D’Amore. After a well received show on Sunday and Monday results which didn’t leave fans commenting with “LOLTNA”, what went down at last night at Universal Studios?

That’s what we’re here to tell you, Cagesiders.

These results are compiled from a variety of live reports - including Twitter accounts of fans who were in Orlando, like TheRogueFan and Jacob Cohen - which are subject to a couple levels of interpretation, and final production of the material for airing on television usually changes context, so...

Take these with a grain of salt, is all I’m saying. Still the big matches, winners/losers and story beats are here.

Filmed Tuesday, April 24:

- Fallah Bahh def. Rohit Raju (Xplosion)

- Austin Aries def. Pentagon Jr. to regain the Impact World Title; the match twice ended in double countouts, but was re-started once at Aries request and once at Pentagon’s. A-Double hit a low blow while the ref’s back was turned to set-up the finish.

- El Hijo del Fantasma def. Taiji Ishimori, Drago and Aerostar in a 4Way; Aerostar took the pin

- Z & E (DJZ and Andrew Everett) def. LAX; Santana and Ortiz are still without Konnan. They bicker between themselves after the loss.

- Taya Valkyrie def. Kiera Hogan via disqualification (or no contest?) when Tessa Blanchard appeared and attacked Hogan

- Kongo Kong (with Jimmy Jacobs) def. Grado (with the debuting Katarina Leigh, fka Winter, fka Katie Lea Burchill); Leigh walked out on Grado after the match. Moose saved him from a two-on-one beatdown by Jacobs and Kong.

- Su Yung (with her Legion of Undead Brides) def. Allie (who came out to Rosemary’s music and wore Rosemary-inspired face paint) in a Last Rights (aka casket) Match to become the new Knockouts Champion

- oVe (with Sami Callihan) def. Drago and Aerostar via disqualification (or no contest?) due to an Eddie Edwards run-in. Edwards choked out Sami with a kendo stick. Security guards pull him off while his wife begs him to calm down. He does relax for a bit, then takes out the guards with the stick.

- Cult of Lee (Trevor Lee and Caleb Konley) def. LAX; Ortiz and Santana again visibly frustrated afterwards

- Z & E def. Scott Steiner and Eli Drake to become the new Impact Tag Team Champions; Drake inadvertantly hit Steiner with a chair to set-up the finish

- Grado (with Katarina) def. Rohit Raju

- Tessa Blanchard def. Kiera Hogan. Blanchard contined to attack Hogan after the bell, but Madison Rayne (who was on commentary) made the save.

- Pentagon Jr. and El Hijo del Fantasma def. Austin Aries and X-Division Champ Matt Sydal. Penta still had the World Title and was announced as champ, so this was filmed out of order.
