Impact Wrestling ratings (May 18, 2017): Numbers drop despite any heavy competition

@ImpactWrestling

The viewership totals and ratings are in for last night’s line up (May 18) and Impact Wrestling’s numbers took a drop. The viewership total was 272K, down from 309K last week. The ratings number, which is usually stable at 0.07 despite changes in viewer totals, was down to 0.06.

The NBA playoffs is something to pay attention to when looking at Impact’s numbers this time of year. But here’s the problem with this drop: There were no NBA playoff games yesterday. Yes, there was a hockey conference final. But that game pulled in about 1.3 million viewers. The NBA games last week pulled in over 4 million.

They had advertised an Ultimate X match and a bout between EC3 and James Storm for last nights episode. Next week, they are already advertising a match between EC3, James Storm, and Magnus to see who goes on to main event Slammiversary. Whether that means they’d face off against Impact champion Bobby Lashley or GFW champion Alberto El Patron remains to be seen.

The numbers from the last month:

  • This week: 272K / 0.06
  • May 11: 309K / 0.07
  • May 4: 260K / 0.07
  • April 27: 255K / 0.06
  • April 20: 320K / 0.07
