The numbers are in for last night’s line up (Oct. 5), and Impact’s numbers continue to drop. Viewership was 251K, down from 264K. The rating number dropped back down to 0.05.
While this was the fallout from their Victory Road special, nothing major was advertised. They were also up against not only the Thursday Night Football game, which featured the Patriots and was on CBS as well as NFL Network, but the first round of the MLB playoffs.
To get an idea of where Impact is with this competition, here are their numbers from last year. Their numbers were down, likely due to the same issues, but still 50K higher. (They did see a steeper drop than this year.)
Last night was also their eighth show from the taping that happened two months ago. The further away from a taping they get, the less buzz they often have. They have another month of shows from that taping.
The numbers from the last month:
- This week: 251K / 0.05
- Sept 28: 264K / 0.06
- Sept. 21: 277K / 0.05
- Sept. 14: 239K / 0.05
- Sept. 7: 227K / 0.05
