When the latest regime took over Impact, Alberto El Patron was their big signing. It didn’t go well. But it looks like it’s not over yet.
Despite winning their top title at Slammiversary this year, the title was soon stripped from him because of a domestic incident involving him and his fiance Paige at the Orlando airport. No charges were filed against Alberto; however, Impact stripped of the championship anyway. He was also not part of the most recent set of tapings, which covered months of television. The only mention of him was by current on-air authority Jim Cornette, who clarified Alberto was stripped of the title and didn’t offer to give it up like he claimed.
There was rumor that with Jeff Jarrett out of Impact, they may not bring El Patron back, but that does not appear to be the case.
Tonight on Impact, it was announced that Alberto El Patron will be returning at the Bound for Glory pay-per-view (PPV) this November.

The promo video they played focused on Alberto being stripped of his title, asking “What will he do?” when he returns. So by look of it, the events leading up to all of this will be part of the story. However, it won’t involve Jim Cornette, since he’s left the company himself.
It’ll be interesting to see how they handle Alberto after his return. How quickly will he return to the world title scene? Will he have to prove himself for a while first or will he soon be back in the main event?
We’ll start to find out at Bound for Glory on November 5.
