During the recent WWE investors conference call, multiple web sources are reporting that Vince pre-empted questions on his absent Superstar with this statement. Expect more analysis of this shortly, whether you want it or not.In addition, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, and the New Age Outlaws are being advertised as appearing on the Feb. 27, 2014, live special on WWE Network. That's without even mentioning the wrestling we'll be treated to: Cesaro vs. Sami Zayn in a 2-out-of-3 falls match, Paige vs. Emma for the NXT women's championship, and Bo Dallas vs. Adrian Neville for the NXT title in a ladder match. Hot damn, this is going to be great.

Maybe. Maybe not. Although posting articles on the company website that feature the two side-by-side won't do anything to quiet the rumblings among fans who have been discussing this marquee match-up for years on end.
There is currently an article on WWE.com entitled Obscure action figures you never knew existed! from a couple of days ago.
On the surface it seems like a throwaway fluff piece meant to generate some clicks and fill some pixels while the company gets a coherent game plan in place for the WrestleMania 30 build.
Deeper than that, however, you can't help but notice the pairing of Sting and the Undertaker on the main photo of the article. Does it mean anything? Probably not, but that won't stop the speculation that maybe, just maybe the match could still happen somewhere down the road.
Thoughts Cagesiders? Is it WWE subliminally planting the seeds for the inevitable feud or is it just a coincidence (in a business where everything -- even web articles -- are a work)?
