Friday is here and you're probably counting down the clock until the weekend. Let's goof around a little to make time fly faster by casting wrestlers past and present in the roles of movies, TV shows, and other media.
Today, we'll be looking at a multibillion dollar box office franchise, The Avengers. I have to declare that I've never seen a complete Avengers movie or Avengers adjacent movie; only bits and pieces. I'm no expert, but here are my casting picks for a few characters based on what I've observed.
Fluff the casting couch cushions, and let's get busy.
The Incredible Hulk played by Daniel Bryan
Daniel Bryan shares similar traits to Bruce Banner and the Incredible Hulk. Both have anger issues with matching fury. While not a scientist, Bryan does have a scientific fascination for bears. In fact, both have defeated bears in combat. Bryan via pin, while Hulk via overhead press toss.
Captain America played by Zack Ryder

Look at that amazing outfit. That is the spirit of national pride needed for the Ultimate Broski to play Captain America. I can envision Zack Ryder saying, "Woo, woo, woo. You know it," every time he successfully uses the vibranium shield.
Iron Man played by Adrian Adonis

In my view, Robert Downey Jr.'s interpretation of Tony Stark comes across as a flamboyant playboy smart aleck. Adrian Adonis fits that bill. With the Flower Shop as cover, he can squeeze into the Iron Man suit to fight crime in the evenings. Adonis even has his own power gloves.

Loki played by Owen Hart
If Owen Hart is Loki, then I guess that makes Bret Hart as Thor. The sibling rivalry of the Hart family mirrors the issues between Loki and Thor. Owen was the Black Hart that never got the recognition he felt he deserved and made it his mission to screw with his older brother Bret. Owen was a trickster similar to Loki. And, it is easy to imagine Loki screaming, "I am not a nugget."

Fandango and Tyler Breeze as... Fashion Police?

Surely, S.H.I.E.L.D. must have a fashion police division. I bet there are major style atrocities committed in the world of super heroes and super villains. For example, the tattered rags that Hulk calls pants would be written a citation. Who do you think would receive tickets from the Fashion Police?
Which wrestlers would you cast in the roles of the Avengers? Include any characters not yet mentioned. Don't hesitate to think outside the box, like Braun Stowman as Juno. If all else fails, do as I do. Cast Breezango. They've shown the range to play any role.
If you have any requests for future casting calls, please mention them in the comments. Thanks.
