Let’s Say Nice Things About... That One Finisher You Hate

Now more than ever, the world needs a good dose of positivity. We here at Cageside Seats will do our small part to bring that positivity on a daily basis. Throughout the entirety of 2017, we’ll say something nice about wrestling and everything around it, past, present, and future.

As a reminder, only positive comments are allowed here. No negative comments, no troll comments, no back-handed compliments. None of that here. You have the rest of the site for that. of course most will be like 'it looks cool' but I always like discussion of finishers or submissions

I like the idea, but let’s put a degree of difficulty on it. Every wrestling fan has seen that one finisher or submission that makes them cringe or go into a rage. Today, I’m gonna challenge you to say something nice about it. Today’s subject: that one finisher or submission hold you hate.

For me, that one finisher is John Cena’s STF. It’s not a proper STF. It barely qualifies as an STS. I get it. But I can give two positives on it: (1) it doesn’t look like a choke, and making it look like a choke is probably a bad look in this wrestling climate. (2) You appreciate it so much more when you see a proper one done. You know, like when John’s future wifey does it.
