Let’s Say Nice Things About... The Ultimate Warrior

Warrior

In an effort to bring some positivity to professional wrestling—and the world for that matter—Cageside Seats and its community will say nice things about people and things in wrestling every single day throughout 2017.

A reminder of the rules: only positivity allowed here. No back-handed compliments, and CERTAINLY NO NEGATIVITY. If you don’t have something nice to say, keep it to yourself, or take it elsewhere. Negative comments will be deleted and you may be subjected to a ban. Cool? Cool.

Today’s subject: WWE Hall of Famer The Ultimate Warrior. I may be wrong, but this may be the first time we’re actually doing someone no longer among the living.

Anyway, I’ll begin. This generation had Goldberg. The previous one had The Ultimate Warrior. He was a supernova. He was an asskicker. He often dispatched his opponents in short order. Sure his promos were unintelligible, but you couldn’t help but be drawn to his energy. After some his promos, I would wanna run through a wall for him.

And right or wrong, he was definitely not afraid to speak his mind or take on authority.

I don’t know exactly how Warrior would be looked at without his patching things up with WWE just before his passing, or even if he were still around. He did have what would turn out to be one of the greater walkoffs in wrestling history, as if he knew checkout time was coming.

Your turn. Say something nice about The Ultimate Warrior.

And if you have a suggestion for a future “Let’s Say Nice Things About...”, hit me up on Twitter @notoriouseddie. I promise I won’t bite.
