Let’s Say Nice Things About... Kenny Omega

NJPW_Global on Twitter

In an effort to bring some positivity to professional wrestling—and the world for that matter—Cageside Seats and its community will say nice things about people and things in wrestling every single day throughout 2017.

A reminder of the rules: only positivity allowed here. No back-handed compliments, and CERTAINLY NO NEGATIVITY. If you don’t have something nice to say, keep it to yourself, or take it elsewhere. Negative comments will be deleted and you may be subjected to a ban. Cool? Cool.

Today’s subject: leader of the nWo tribute band known as the Bullet Club Elite, “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega.

I’ll start. Kenny has this weird charisma about him. He reminds me a bit of Edge when he was in his unhinged phase. Something tells me he’s seen some things in his life and has channeled that to his wrestling persona.

For about three weeks earlier this year, Omega was the biggest story in wrestling. Will he jump to WWE? Won’t he? (He ultimately didn’t.) He’s betting on himself, much like AJ Styles did in recent years. He knows McMahon or a McMahon by marriage will come calling soon enough, and if the price is right, he’ll go.

Also, his never-ending rivalry with the New Day is quite fun, even if it is limited to Twitter accounts. For now...

Your turn. Say something nice about Kenny the Cleaner.

And if you have a suggestion for a future “Let’s Say Nice Things About...”, hit me up on Twitter @notoriouseddie. I promise I won’t bite.
