In an effort to bring some positivity to professional wrestling—and the world for that matter—Cageside Seats and its community will say nice things about people and things in wrestling every single day throughout 2017.
A reminder of the rules: only positivity allowed here. No back-handed compliments, and CERTAINLY NO NEGATIVITY. If you don’t have something nice to say, keep it to yourself, or take it elsewhere. Negative comments will be deleted and you may be subjected to a ban. Cool? Cool.
Today’s subject: wrestler-turned-author AJ Lee. Brooks.
I’ll start: AJ perhaps more than any other woman in recent memory represents the bridge between WWE’s past and WWE’s present when it comes to the ladies on the roster. I instantly fell in love with Lee Brooks during NXT’s third season because of her away-from-the-ring interests.
She was always one to speak her mind, which has been both a blessing and a detriment. Lee Brooks also did what few people in the business do: find love and get out at the height of her popularity. And as it turned out, she achieved all of her success while dealing with bipolar disorder.
Your turn. Say something nice about WWE’s former “geek goddess”.
And if you have a suggestion for a future “Let’s Say Nice Things About...”, hit me up on Twitter @notoriouseddie. I promise I won’t bite.
