The 30 Day Challenge: Day 30 -- Why Do You Like Wrestling?

With the influx of new members of Cageside Seats following Wrestlemania, I think it's about time we get to know each other a little bit. So through the month of April, we're going to do the Cageside Seats 30 Day Challenge.

Okay, I can see the calendar says May, but hey, we started a day late, so there you go.

Here are the rules: I'll ask you a different question every day, and you answer it. It's that simple. There are no right or wrong answers (after all, we're talking about your favorites and such). Just think of this as one of those introductory mixer things. Or whatever welcome party thing this is.

Day 30: Why do you like wrestling?

Well, it's one of those things I fell in love with as a kid. Watching larger than life men do incredible feats of strength caught my eye as a little Eddie Mac. As I grew older, larger than life personalities doing incredible things with their bodies caught my eye as a young adult Eddie Mac. I also got invested in the stories of many of my favorites, and here's the greatest thing--at least for me--about wrestling. You can stop watching for a few weeks at a time, jump back in, and not necessarily be lost. I'm not sure there are a lot of shows you can say that about. Plus people doing incredible things with their bodies always catches my eye. And in the words of Max Landis, yeah, a lot of pro wrestling sucks. But when it's good, it's fucking great. And in the words of Eddie Mac, when it's great, it's incredible.
