Wrestler Wrankings™: 2012-2013 Season, Week 27

Welcome once again to Wrestler Wrankings™, your premier weekly scorekeeper for the world's purest form of sport.

This week, #11 Antonio Cesaro faced #10 Brodus Clay in a "Loser Leaves the Top Ten Match." At least, that's what loyal readers of this humble space knew it to be. With the heightened stakes, I was on the edge of my seat for this encounter that pitted two great athletes, who have yet to have had a legitimate loss against one another.

I expected a classic battle between the size and power of Brodus Clay and the agility and technique of the savvy Cesaro. Which method would prevail?

Well, we never got to find out because Cesaro completely outclassed Clay in the type of facile destruction the likes of which we've rarely seen since Ultimate Warrior obliterated a young Triple H at Wrestlemania 12. Surprisingly, power was where these men were most mismatched, as the man of many tongues executed his brutal Gotch Neutralizer with relative ease on the behemoth Funkasaurus.

What is next for this powerful polyglot? Time will tell, but it seems clear there is a new Sheriff in the lower reaches of the Wrestler Wrankings™ Top 10 and the entire WWE is now on notice.
