Marq Quen is back, and Private Party is coming for the AEW Tag titles

When AEW launched five years ago, Private Party were positioned to be some of the new promotion’s breakout stars. Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy had made a name for themselves on the independent scene, and were getting some buzz as part of The Young Bucks’ Being The Elite YouTube series.

They got off to a good start, upsetting The Bucks on the second-ever episode of Dynamite en route to finishing third in the tournament to crown the inaugural AEW Tag champs. But an alliance with Matt Hardy designed to get them to the next level ended up leaving them lost in the shuffle. Then Quen suffered a shoulder injury in December of 2022. Kassidy stood out as “Brother Zay” when The Hardys were on-screen, but a return to prominence seemed a long way off.

Last night (Jan. 3) on Dynamite, Quen returned as Private Party crashed a post-match party following Orange Cassidy’s successful International title defense against Dante Martin. With Top Flight, Action Andretti, and OC’s friends Danhausen & HOOK all in the ring, Kassidy & Quen put the tag division on notice...
