HOOK squashes a large man ahead of AEW world title match with Samoa Joe

FTW Champion HOOK is challenging Samoa Joe for the AEW world championship on next week’s (Jan. 17) episode of Dynamite, and Tony Khan really wants you to know that HOOK is a credible challenger for the top prize in the promotion.

HOOK showed up on tonight’s (Jan. 13) episode of Collision to wrestle a large man named Kevin Matthews. The commentators suggested this match would prove that he can handle opponents who have a Joe-like size advantage on him. And wouldn’t you know it, HOOK squashed the big jabroni without breaking a sweat. Here he is tossing the guy around at will:

HOOK choked Kevin out for the easy win, improving his win-loss record to 29-1 and probably making it impossible for there to be any online outrage about his upcoming world title shot on Wednesday.

Are you now convinced that HOOK has a chance to win the world title from Samoa next Wednesday on Dynamite? Let us know in the comments below, Cagesiders.
