Brian Cage says he’s working with a torn lat

Earlier today, AEW wrestler Brian Cage said on social media that he worked yesterday’s (Jan. 10) 8-man tag team match on Dynamite with a torn lat:

“Got my shit in, did my version of OC ✋ in the pocket, or the “Al Bundy Suplex” and did it all with a torn lat. Who’s a machine?????? This guy”

This follows a post from Cage a few days ago, where he indicated the injury occurred on last week’s (Jan. 3) Dynamite during a spot with Trent Beretta:

“Welllllll, I may or may not have gotten a ‘boo boo’ last Wednesday night on Dynamite.....but I’m not a man, I’m a machine! And the show must go on.”

Last week, AEW wrestler RUSH revealed that he worked most of the Continental Classic tournament with a torn hamstring, and he was taking time off to recover. It’s not clear if Cage is headed down a similar path. For now, it looks like he will continue to get his shit in until he can’t.

Cage is currently scheduled to defend the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Titles (with Gates of Agony) on this Saturday’s (Jan. 13) episode of AEW Collision against Lance Archer and The Righteous.
