AEW DYNAMITE RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR MAR. 1
A string of diamonds formed a stream that tumbled down the daunting cliff to sparkle bright on the beach. New born lambs that sweetly played, speckled eggs all newly laid, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.
The show opens with the intro video.
“Big” Bill Morrissey vs. Orange Cassidy (c) (AEW All-Atlantic Championship)
Cassidy keeps his distance, going to the floor, back in, back out, leading Morrissey on a merry chase, rolling through the ring to break the count. Orange steals Stokely Hathaway’s sunglasses and puts them on and nearly makes Big Bill clobber his manager in the aftermath!
Back in, sunset flip blocked, duck out of the corner, Flair Flip, roll back in, off the ropes, satellite DDT blocked and Morrissey hits a side slam! Morrissey slings Orange out of the ring, he follows after and drops the champion with clubbing blows. Big Stoke clears the timekeeper’s table and he and Bill move it to the base of the ramp!
Goozle, Orange counters with mounted punches, up on the steps, desperate punches but Bill sends him flying with one big punch! Morrissey chokeslams him through the table and we go to break!
Back from commercial, Morrisey drops Cassidy with a one-handed delayed vertical suplex! Orange Punch caught into a full nelson, ragdolling Orange, Cassidy breaks the hold and ducks under a big boot! Bill picks him up, off the ropes, again he ducks the big boot and this time the champion rolls out to the floor!
Danhausen tries to curse Stoke, Morrissey lifts him up for a chokebomb but Hathaway tells him to set him down and backhands him with his cast! Orange dives on them both and then fights out of a chokeslam and hits an Orange Punch to the knee before dropkicking Big Bill’s head into the steel steps!
Back inside, vertical reversed into a Stundog Millionaire and the satellite DDT follows! Out of the corner, Orange Punch, another one, Cassidy goes up top...
Orange Cassidy wins by pinfall with a diving Orange Punch to retain the AEW All-Atlantic Championship.
We get a recap of Jon Moxley vs. Evil Uno and then we see a promo Jon cut in the stairwell after, blood pouring down his face and chest.
He says he can taste it, and it tastes like victory and life, and that’s what he’s about, living his life to the fullest. He’s a sick man and he does this because he likes it, and it’s not something he’s proud of or that is to be aspired to. He tells Hangman Page that only one of them is going to come out of Revolution, and he reminds him that he wanted this.
Mox tried to leave it alone, beat him once with no credit for it, Adam beats him with the worst injury he’s had in his career and then Jon beats him again and he gets nothing for it? It’s a fluke, it’s not real? This time he’ll leave no doubt— Page is a great wrestler, even a great man, but he’s not the same animal as Jon Moxley.
There’s only room for one of these animals in AEW, and he will die to protect what is his.
The Elite’s entrance is interrupted by the lights going out. They come back up and a horned figure is among them, and then they go back down and we hear sounds of violence.
Lights back up and the House of Black are holding the trios titles with the Elite down and out on the stage.
Samoa Joe makes his entrance and joins commentary and we go to break.
Action Andretti vs. AR Fox vs. Eddie Kingston vs. Komander vs. Konosuke Takeshita vs. Ortiz vs. Sammy Guevara vs. “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs (Face of the Revolution Ladder Match)
Chaos out the gates, like you’d expect, Guevara blasts Fox with the ladder and Komander dropkicks a ladder into Andretti’s face! Hobbs takes Komander out in turn and then whips him hard into a ladder leaned in the corner! Will biels AR into a ladder and then drops Action with a lariat!
Hobbs and Takeshita trading forearms, great big cracking strikes and Konosuke passes Powerhouse into a ladder and then German suplexes him while Don Callis watches on! Sammy takes Takeshita out but runs into a dropkick form Andretti and then a tope con giro!
Komander up top, running the whole length of the ropes for a tope con giro off the top and to the floor to send us to break!
Back from commercial, Takeshita pulls Komander off a ladder and Hobbs lays him out with a right hand! Looking for a suplex, Fox cuts Will off with a chairshot and immediately pays for it... DEATH VALLEY DRIVER OFF THE APRON AND INTO A LADDER! Sammy up top, Andretti rushes up to join him, jockeying for position atop a ladder contraption... FALCON ARROW INTO A LADDER!
Komander up top, again he walks the ropes... ROPEWALK SHOOTING STAR PRESS INTO AR FOX ON A LADDER! Komander climbs the ladder contraption, Konosuke is right behind him, thinking about it... BLUE THUNDER DRIVER OFF THE LADDERS! Takeshita climbs the ladders, Action jumps to join him and they trade punches atop the ladders!
Daniel Garcia runs in to knock them both over and then he hits a Rock Bottom on Andretti! Working together with his pal Guevara, big ladder set up on the floor, Sammy off the top of it... SENTON ATOMICO THROUGH ACTION ANDRETTI AND A LADDER BRIDGED BETWEEN APRON AND BARRICADE!
Garcia rolls his teammate into the ring and sets a ladder up, lifting him up the ladder, but Takeshita knocks the ladder over and sends Red Death packing! Vicious knee strike takes Sammy out, Konosuke climbs... WILL HOBBS BOWLS THE LADDER OVER! Hobbs sets it back up and climbs...
“Powerhouse” Will Hobbs wins, retrieving the golden ring becoming the 2023 Face of the Revolution and earning a shot at the AEW TNT Championship next week.
Hobbs storms up the ramp to confront Samoa Joe but Wardlow comes out to the stage as well and security swarms between them! Mr. Mayhem starts throwing guards around while Powerhouse laughs and laughs and Joe makes good his escape! WARDLOW POWERBOMBS A SECURITY GUARD OFF THE STAGE AND INTO THE PIT!
Renee Paquette is backstage with a medical update.
Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta aren’t cleared to compete in tonight’s Casino Battle Royal, and Danhausen says that he and Orange Cassidy are also best friends and are cleared to compete. Orange is hurting but Danhausen is confident and says he’s got tons of room in his bag for more titles, and asked directly if he’s good to compete, Orange says he doesn’t care.
Chris Jericho makes his entrance to send us to break.
Chris Jericho vs. “Pretty” Peter Avalon
Avalon hard out the gates, bringing it to Jericho to the point where he has to bail to the floor! Off the ropes, Peter with a suicide dive, chops against the ropes, big pump kick... SO CLOSE! Chops and forearms and shoulder thrusts in the corner, back body drop to the apron, springboard crossbody... NOPE!
Jericho back into it...
Chris Jericho wins by pinfall with the Codebreaker.
Post-match, Chris wails on Avalon with Floyd until “Absolute” Ricky Starks makes the save!
Jericho bails to the floor and gets on the mic, telling Starks that he’s gonna beat the hell out of him one-on-one on Sunday because the Jericho Appreciation Society isn’t going to be at ringside... but they’re here tonight, and Daniel Garcia and Jake Hager jump out of the crowd and beat Ricky down!
Hager hits a high-angle twisting spinebuster, Garcia hits a Rock Bottom, Jericho grabs Floyd but decides to just lay Starks out with a Judas Effect!
“Hangman” Adam Page cuts a promo from a barn somewhere.
He says he talked to Dark Order earlier today and he doesn’t think Alex Reynolds meant anything by it, but he asked if Page was afraid of losing, and Moxley can’t take his memory because it’s gone, he can’t take the feeling in the tips of his fingers because it’s gone, but he can take Mox’s spot on the top of the food chain and in the end he’ll be the man left standing.
He doesn’t enjoy violence, he hates it to his core, but on Sunday he’ll be the most violent and bloodthirsty son of a bitch he can be, because that’s the only way he can win, and in Texas Death, there’s only two ways out— you live, or you die, and after Sunday, Jon will never be the same.
Christian Cage makes his entrance and is interviewed in the ring by Renee Paquette.
First things first, he can’t wait to not come back to San Francisco for another ten years. He doesn’t want to blur the lines of reality, for the better part of the last six months he embarrassed Jungle Boy and beat him down at will. He was done with Jack Perry, until he turned on the TV one day and saw him say he’s gonna win a singles title, and that’ll be over Cage’s dead body.
Christian says he’s gonna win a title this year, and he sees that Jack’s been winning by quick pinfalls, and that’s fine, but do you want to win a title or do you want to BEAT somebody for a title? That’s rhetorical because he already knows the answer after Perry jumped him from behind like a coward and then hesitated and then what happened?
Cage showed him how a real man conducts his business and then left him in a pool of his own blood and piss.
He couldn’t figure out why Jungle Boy wants to win a title and he doesn’t care about the prestige, he just wants to impress his family and get some likes on social media, and his problem with his whole generation is that he treats his business like a video game.
People like Jungle Boy are a dime a dozen, but Cage says he’s one of one, and he treats his business like an ATM machine and he’s not done milking it dry. But it needs to end, so he’s got a challenge for Jack for Sunday, and not a wrestling match, but a fight.
No rules, no regulations, just a fight, and the sad reality is if he does show up, he’s just his father’s son, and just like his father he’s a no talent hack who should be thankful he’s got good looks to skim on by. He’s not a closer, he doesn’t have any grit, he doesn’t have an ounce of what Cage has.
We cut to video of Jungle Boy digging a grave lit by the headlights of a car.
Cage has no response.
Tony Schiavone is backstage with Dr. Britt Baker, DMD and Jamie Hayter.
Hayter says she doesn’t know what’s gonna be sweeter, beating one bitch or two. Britt tells Saraya she can watch two former champs duke it out, but she’ll never have the belt, and Jamie tells her to try some shenanigans because she’ll be there and watching.
HOOK (c) vs. Matt Hardy (FTW Championship)
Hardy with an arm wringer, HOOK with a leg pick and Matt gets the ropes! Right hands stagger HOOK, a shoulder block knocks him down but the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil picks a leg into a kneebar, forcing Hardy into the ropes! To the floor, HOOK throws him into the barricade and back inside but Ethan Page takes advantage of the fracas to throw the champion into the post!
Back inside, overhead elbows set up a neckbreaker, smashing HOOK’s face into the turnbuckles but he slips under and hits the T-Bone suplex! Body blows in the corner, a big headbutt, but Hardy counters a charge with a flapjack into the turnbuckles! Side Effect follows... NOPE!
Whip across, collision in the corner, Stokely Hathaway takes his cast off and passes it to Ethan Page to get a cheap shot, Hardy crawls over... AND HOOK KICKS OUT! Twist of Fate reversed...
HOOK wins by submission with Redrum, retaining the FTW Championship and earning a no disqualification match against Stokely Hathaway with the Firm banned from ringside.
The House of Black cut a promo in a black void with the trios titles in hand.
Malakai Black talks about the fear that eats at the soul, and they’ll leave the titles here because they belong to the Elite, but just know on Sunday that you’ve already lost them.
Toni Storm makes her entrance, Saraya in tow, to send us to break.
Riho vs. Toni Storm
Storm slinging Riho around the ring early, biels ahoy, side headlock, shot off, shoulder block knocks her down, Matrix evasion, dropkick sends Toni into the corner! Storm puts her into the corner and puts boots to her, running knee in the corner, snap suplex, cover for one. she sets Riho on the apron and cracks her with the hip attack!
Saraya gets a cheap knee strike in, Toni to the floor to throw Riho into the barricade and Team DMD come down the aisle and send us to break.
Back from commercial, Storm catches a 619 but gets low-bridged on the hip attack! Riho off the top, diving crossbody to the floor! Back inside, diving stomp, bridging northern lights suplex... NOPE! Up top, jockeying for position, back on the mat, biel sets up a shotgun dropkick from Storm!
Running hip attack in the corner, cover... NOPE! Cloverleaf applied, Britt with some interference, Riho reverses....
Riho wins by pinfall with a bridging schoolboy pin.
Post-match, Toni and Britt brawl on the floor and Saraya and Hayter brawl in the ring! Ruby Soho runs in and we get a three-way brawl between the women in the title match at Revolution until referees and security swarm to pull them apart!
Dustin Rhodes and Keith Lee cut a promo.
Lee says this is less about what Mogul Affiliates has done to them and more about what’s done to others, and Rhodes says darkness has fallen over San Francisco, and on Friday night you’re gonna find out they don’t play games, and they are Naturally Limitless and you’re gonna remember their name.
Blackpool Combat Club blindside the Beaver Boys and brawl around the ring to send us to break.
2.0 (“Cool Hand” Angelo Parker & “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard) vs. Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher & “Dunkzilla” Mark Davis) vs. Beaver Boys (Alex Reynolds & John Silver) vs. Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler YUTA) vs. Butcher and the Blade (Andy “Butcher” Williams & Pepper “Blade” Parks) vs. Danhausen & Orange Cassidy vs. La Faccion Ingobernable (Preston Vance & Rush) vs. Lucha Brothers (Penta el Zero M & Rey Fenix) vs. the Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) vs. Top Flight (Dante & Darius Martin) (AEW World Tag Team Championship #3 Contender’s Casino Battle Royal)
Back from commercial and La Faccion Ingobernable make their entrance into the match and get to brawling! Castagnoli and Rush trading HUGE overhand chops with abandon, the countdown timer ticks...
Lucha Brothers are out next.
In hot, Sling Blades, brawling with LFI, stereo superkicks! Trying to dump Blackpool Combat Club now, Fenix and Castagnoli brawling on the apron, pump kick from Claudio lays him out but does not eliminate him! Rush clawing at Penta’s mask in the Tree of Woe, Castagnoli military presses Rey over the ropes but he does not fall to the floor!

Post-match, Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett jump the new contenders and beat them up! Jarrett hits the Stroke on Orange! The Acclaimed make the save!
A video package for Bryan Danielson vs. Maxwell Jacob Friedman follows.
Back from commercial, “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson makes his entrance to be interviewed by Renee Paquette.
She brings up a post of Maxwell Jacob Friedman’s that says that he was inspired by Danielson, and Bryan talks about unretiring and how he said if you fight for your dreams, your dreams will fight for you—
Enter MJF.
Bryan immediately tells him to shut up for once in his life and he’s heard him say all these different reasons he hates him, and Dragon lays out the reasons and says Max thinks he deserves all these things but he hasn’t earned them and he’s done nothing to fight for them.
Friedman has taken every shortcut he can to become AEW World Champion, and if there’s one thing he deserves, it’s his fiancee leaving him. Shoulders to mats and banging rats, is that it? That doesn’t seem like somebody he wants his daughter to marry, and MJF took his jacket off to fight, but Danielson’s ready to fight any time.
He’s fought depression and poverty and shoulder injuries and brain injuries and the Authority, he’s fought for everything. Before he came here he had a job that would pay him for the rest of his life, but he came here to AEW because he wanted to fight.
His new dream since he’s come here is to be AEW World Champion and goddamnit he’s willing to fight for it. So Max, this Sunday at Revolution, you better be ready to fight with everything you have for sixty full minutes, and if he doesn’t... he’ll get his fucking head kicked in!
That’s the show, folks.
