MJF and Bryan Danielson will wrestle a 60-minute Iron Man match at AEW’s Revolution pay-per-view, coming up on March 5. A match of that length comes with the consequence of other stars being bumped off the card. In this case, the annual ladder match that is named after the PPV has been moved to the go-home episode of Dynamite.
The winner of the Face of the Revolution Ladder match earns a shot at the TNT championship. This year’s ladder match was officially announced for next week’s (Mar. 1) Dynamite, and it features the following eight wrestlers:
- Konosuke Takeshita
- Powerhouse Hobbs
- Action Andretti
- Eddie Kingston
- Sammy Guevara
- Komander
- Ortiz
- AR Fox
Komander’s name is the one that sticks out from this group, because he has never wrestled before in AEW. This is a hell of a way for the AAA rising star to make his AEW debut in a high stakes match where he can go crazy with ladder spots.
It’s also worth noting that current TNT champ Samoa Joe will be on commentary for this match.
Here’s the current lineup or Dynamite next week:
- Face of the Revolution Ladder match
- Casino Tag Team Battle Royale
- Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Big Bill for the All-Atlantic title
- HOOK (c) vs. Matt Hardy for the FTW championship
- Toni Storm vs. Riho
- Chris Jericho vs. Peter Avalon
- We’ll hear from MJF and Bryan Danielson
Who do you think will be this year’s Face of the Revolution?
