Bryan Danielson breaks down crying after realizing he’s not the best wrestler in the world

On last night’s (Dec. 27) episode of AEW Dynamite, Bryan Danielson was eliminated from the Continental Classic tournament after losing the Blue League Final against that bum Eddie Kingston.

Danielson has less than one year left as a full-time wrestler, and the weight of yet another major loss in AEW is weighing heavily on his mind. In this post-match interview where some jerk interrupts Bryan to ask him a stupid question while he’s meditating, Danielson breaks down crying as he comes to grips with the reality that he’s been lying to himself about being the best wrestler in the world:

“The whole world is deceiving themselves. We all deceive ourselves, and I meditate so I don’t deceive myself.

And I’ve always known, deep down, that I’m the best wrestler in the world. That people like Eddie Kingston can never beat me ‘cause I’m the best. But now here we are, and I’ve got less than a year left. And this entire time I’ve been in AEW, I’ve gone after championship after championship after championship, and I lose every time.

So at what point am I deceiving myself about being the best wrestler in the world?”

Danielson may find out the answer to that question when he steps in the ring next week (Jan. 4) at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 against Kazuchika Okada.
