AEW Rampage spoilers for Dec. 29: Jericho replaces Omega with new partner, Judge Danhausen, more!

AEW rolled into Addition Financial Center in Orlando, Florida, for yesterday’s New Year’s Smash episode of Dynamite, where they also taped tomorrow night’s (Dec. 29) episode of Rampage.

AEW has advertised multiple matches for the card on Friday night. Let’s see how the results panned out, courtesy of spoilers from Wrestling Observer Radio:

  • Chris Jericho cut a promo to hype up his 8-man tag team match at Worlds End. He called out Sammy Guevara and asked why he turned on him to join the Don Callis Family. Guevara admitted that he blamed Chris for things he should have blamed himself for, and he’s sorry. Jericho apologized to Sammy as well and then asked him to reunite as Le Sex Gods for his guaranteed shot at the AEW world tag team titles. Sammy agreed and they hugged.
  • ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta defeated Matt Sydal to retain the gold. The judges were Jimmy Jacobs, Christopher Daniels, and Sarah Stock. Afterwards, Danhausen came out claiming to be the 4th judge and wanting to disqualify Wheeler for cheating. Wheeler attacked Danhausen. HOOK made the save.
  • Ruby Soho defeated Marina Shafir. Saraya and Harley Cameron were in Ruby’s corner for the match, while Nyla Rose was ringside for Shafir. Ruby got the win with a roll up after Harley distracted the referee.
  • Action Andretti & Top Flight beat Orange Cassidy, Trent Beretta & Rocky Romero. Dante Martin pinned Romero.
