AEW RAMPAGE RESULTS FOR DEC. 22

  • Rampage kicks off with Orange Cassidy making his entrance for an AEW International title defense against Rocky Romero. Trent Beretta accompanies Cassidy to the ring, with Romero already waiting inside for the match to begin.
  • Orange Cassidy defeats Rocky Romero to retain the AEW International Championship. OC takes a beating in the early portion of the fight and is favoring his back. Cassidy can’t get Romero over for a suplex due to his compromised back, so Romero instead suplexes him onto the ring apron heading into the commercial break. Cassidy gets back in it and drops Romero with an Orange Punch, but he can’t capitalize for a pin attempt due to his back. Cassidy and Trent exchange words, which creates an opening for Romero to put Cassidy down with the Sliced Bread. Rocky hits OC with Trent’s Strong Zero finishing move for a near fall. The commentators can’t tell who Trent is rooting for. Cassidy recovers and hits Romero with the Orange Punch and Beach Break for the three count.
  • Trent, Rocky, and OC give the people what they want with the big group hug after the match is over.
  • There’s a video showing AEW wrestlers giving out toys for Toys For Tots in the Dallas area.
  • Tony Schiavone interviews Kris Statlander backstage. Kris says things are cool between her and Willow Nightingale. Stokely Hathaway shows up and says Willow is telling people that she carried Kris to a win last week on Collision. Stokely wants Kristin Statlander to look in the mirror and realize that she doesn’t need Willow, Orange Cassidy, or that bitch ass Danhausen. After Stokely leaves, Statlander is flabbergasted that he referred to her as Kristin.
  • Brian Cage cuts a promo on Keith Lee ahead of their match tomorrow on Collision. Cage says he’s going to kick Keith’s sloppy joe ass.
  • Roderick Strong has the mic during The Kingdom’s entrance and tells individual fans that they are stupid for believing MJF is not The Devil. He does the name screaming gimmick as he says he person’s name.
  • The Kingdom defeats The Hardys. Jeff Hardy tries for the Swanton Bomb shortly before the commercial break, but he is distracted and crotched on the buckle. Jeff takes a beating through the commercial but finally makes the hot tag to Matt Hardy. Matt rams Taven’s face repeatedly into all three buckles in the corner and then powerbombs him out of the corner. He nails a side effect for a near fall. Matt hits Bennett with Twist of Fate, and Taven bails to the outside. Matt chases him out there and throws him over the announce desk. Jaff takes his boot off, wears it over his hand and blasts Bennett with it on the outside. Hardy rams Bennett into all the ring steps. He tries to grab a chair, but the referee grabs it away from him. Matt goes back inside the ring and has words with the ref. Taven runs in from behind and rolls up Matt Hardy for the three count.
  • Renee Paquette interviews Ruby Soho backstage. Ruby said she hasn’t spoken to Saraya since she lost to Riho on Dynamite. Angelo Parker interrupts and asks Ruby to go out for a drink. Saraya interrupts and tells Ruby she needs her and if that means Angelo is along with her, then so be it. As soon as Ruby leaves, Saraya calls Angelo a piece of shit to his face and says he will never take Ruby away from her. Saraya then returns to Ruby pretending like she approves of Parker.
  • Skye Blue defeats Queen Aminata. Aminata takes Skye down with a twisting neckbreaker. Skye drives her face-first onto the ring apron. The two women shove each other in the middle of the ring until Queen hits a German suplex. She follows up with a running hip attack and boot slide in the corner for a two count. Skye avoids a moonsault. Skye takes her down with multiple kicks, hits her with a TKO, and forces Queen to tap out with the Dragon Sleeper.
  • El Hijo del Vikingo defeats Black Taurus to retain the AAA Mega Championship. Vikingo nails a sky twister press to the floor below late in the match. He goes up for the 630 splash, but Taurus rolls away from his range. Vikingo nails the implosion poisonrana, but is then cut in half with a gore in the middle of the ring. Taurus stands on the top turnbuckle and press slams Vikingo all the way down to the mat. Taurus powerbomb Vikingo on his head and plants him with a discus lariat for a near fall. Chris Jericho rips on Tony Schiavone for saying stupid shit on commentary. Vikingo comes back with running knees in the back of Taurus’ head. He nails Taurus with the 630 senton for the pin fall win.
  • That’s the end of the show, folks!
