AEW Dynamite draws some of its worst numbers of the year for Holiday Bash

AEW Dynamite

The ratings and viewership data are in for this week’s (Dec. 20) Holiday Bash episode of AEW Dynamite.

Per Wrestlenomics, Dynamite netted 782,000 viewers and a 0.26 rating with the 18-49 year old demographic. These numbers are down from last week’s 845,000 and 0.30, respectively.

These are some of the lowest numbers AEW Dynamite has drawn in these metrics in 2023; it’s the fourth smallest TV audience for the year, and tied for the fourth lowest rating in the key demo.

The main attractions on this card were the final three Gold League matches in the round-robin portion of the Continental Classic tournament. One of those matches was a battle of winless wrestlers with zero points each, so it might be more accurate to say there were just two tournament matches expected to keep fans interested from start to finish.

The Holiday Bash results were a letdown for AEW Dynamite compared to last week’s Winter is Coming episode. Perhaps Tony Khan will decide to make a HUGE announcement about a free agent signing or two in order to boost next week’s numbers on the go-home show for Worlds End.

Here’s a breakdown of AEW viewership and rating in the 18-49 demo over the last year:
