AEW announces Continental Classic matchups plus two title bouts for Dynamite

AEW is heading to Montreal, Quebec, Canada on December 6 for Dynamite. The lineup was announced during Rampage, and it includes Continental Classic tournament matchups plus two title fights.

As is the pattern for Dynamite, the show will feature three Gold League contests.

  • Jon Moxley (6 points) vs. Rush (3 points)
  • Jay White (3 points) vs. Jay Lethal (0 points)
  • Swerve Strickland (6 points) vs. Mark Briscoe (0 points)

Prospects don’t look good for Lethal and Briscoe earning their first wins of the tournament. I’ve got my eye on Rush. This would be a good time to call an upset. Moxley won’t be harmed by a loss in this scenario, and he would still be in contention to win the league. For Rush, it would give him a huge high-profile win for a breakout moment in his AEW career. In addition, Swerve could continue his momentum with a win to stand alone atop the standings in first place. On the other hand, an undefeated showdown between Moxley and Swerve would be money.

On the title tip, it’s raining championships in Montreal.

  • AEW Women’s World Championship: Toni Storm (c) vs. Skye Blue
  • TNT Championship: Christian Cage (c) vs. Adam Copeland

One battle was built over a slight interrupting an award speech, and the other clash is a war between friends.

Blue has never beaten Storm in singles action. Storm is timeless with a 6-0 record (3 wins on Dynamite, 3 wins on house shows). Their last round was on October 4 this year during the Dynamite anniversary special.

Christian and Copeland have shared the ring as opponents on numerous occasions, however, they have only wrestled each other one-on-one once over the past 20 years. That contest came in 2010 in WWE.
