Collision’s numbers increase, even against the NFL

The numbers are in for the Dec. 16 episode of AEW Collision on TNT.

According to Wrestlenomics, the latest Collision drew an audience of 457,000 and did a .15 rating among 18-49 year olds. Both are up slightly from the week before, and the best AEW’s Saturday show has done since October.

While the gains aren’t huge, the fact Collision increased at all is impressive considering it was competing with the NFL last weekend. The game which aired on NFL Network in primetime opposite AEW — the Detroit Lions vs. the Denver Broncos — had an audience of 9.15 million with a 4.4 rating in the demo (per Sports Media Watch).

It’s the third straight week of increased viewership, a promising sign with football-free Saturdays coming in a little more than a month.

We’ll see if they can keep it up this week with the final few Continental Classic Blue League matches. In the meantime, here’s a look at each Collision’s viewership and demo rating over the course of its history:
