On Thursday, it was announced that CJ Perry would make her CMLL debut when she accompanied her “client”, the returning Andrade El Ídolo, to his match Friday night in Arena Mexico. But Perry didn’t work the show.
She also wasn’t on AEW Collision tonight (Dec. 16), even though she usually walks Andrade out for his Continental Classic matches before heading to the back in accordance with tournament rules.
During Saturday night’s show from Texas, the performer formerly known as WWE’s Lana revealed why in a post on X — she was hospitalized in Southern California. Accompanied by some gnarly-looking photographic evidence, Perry shared that she had an infection in her finger which spread to her arm. She wished both Andrade and her real life husband Miro the best...
#CMLL Please keep me in your prayers I’m at the ER @vphcares. The infection from my small finger has gone up my arm. I am so sorry I had to miss last night and @AEW tonight. I look forward to debuting in Mexico with @AndradeElIdolo. Good luck @ToBeMiro and my client… pic.twitter.com/UcFAg9WLU2— CJ Perry (@TheCJPerry) December 17, 2023
Andrade wrestled on Collision, losing to Claudio Castagnoli in a Continental Classic match. Miro appeared in a video segment that may have been pre-taped, so perhaps he’s actually with CJ at the hospital.
No matter, join us in wishing her a full & speedy recovery. Hopefully we’ll see her next week on AEW television.
