Mariah May met with Tony Khan to ask for her first AEW match

After months of rumors, Mariah May made her AEW debut earlier this month. The former Stardom star landed on the fringes of the Women’s World championship scene, since she’s playing Timeless Toni Storm’s biggest fan. Leading up to and since Storm won that belt a record-tying third time at Full Gear, May has mostly been building her character reacting to the delusional starlet.

That was what she was doing the first time we saw her on the Nov. 29 Dynamite, as RJ City tried to talk to the champ about her title defense next Wednesday. The Timeless One was too distracted by her hangover... and the gout flare-up she’s dealing with:

When next we saw Mariah, she was buttering up City even though he already set-up a meeting for her with AEW head honcho Tony Khan. She went in to chat with her boss about getting her first AEW match booked. Seems odd to sign someone and then not even have them wrestle — but actually that’s on brand for TK (I kid, I kid... kinda).

Anyway, we’ve yet to learn how the meeting went:

When will we get to see the Storm stan in the ring? She couldn’t be Timeless Toni’s challenger next week, could she? Let us know what you think in the comments below. And on your way down there, check out the rest of the highlights from Nov. 29 edition of Dynamite in the following playlist:
