Watch the AEW Continental Classic Selection Special

For the past few weeks, we’ve been learning more about AEW’s new Continental Classic tournament.

We know the 12 man field will include Bryan Danielson, Andrade El Ídolo, Mark Briscoe & Eddie Kingston. Entrants will be divided into “Blue and Gold Leagues” for round robin matches, where winners receive three points, losers get zero and, in the event of a draw, each wrestler gets one point. No one will be allowed at ringside during the tournament to reduce the possibility of interference. The finals are set to take place Dec. 30 at the Worlds End PPV, and whoever is victorious on that night in Long Island will be awarded the Ring of Honor World, New Japan Strong Openweight & AEW Continental titles as a new Triple Crown champion.

But before the tournament kicks off on Dynamite tonight (Nov. 22), we still don’t know who else is in the tournament. There are also questions about League assignments and schedule.

We’ll at least get the identities of the other eight men in the field during this afternoon’s Selection Special hosted by AEW owner Tony Khan & voice of the company Tony Schiavone. They’ll be joined by Kingston to analyze the field in the livestream that’s embedded above.

It starts at 1pm ET/10am PT. So click play and find out more about the Continental Classic with your fellow Cagesiders, and we’ll see you in our Dynamite live blog tonight for the first tournament matches!
