Well, mother, what the war did to my legs and to my tongue, you should’ve raised a baby girl, I should be liveblogging this here pro wrestling show for these folks right here.

The show opens with the intro video.

Chris Jericho makes his entrance for his face-to-face with Daniel Garcia and gets on the mic.

He talks about how he and Garcia agreed to work out their issues face to face and he introduces him as one of his favorite people in the world, a future world champion, and his protege.

Enter “Red Death” Daniel Garcia.

“You’re a wrestler!” chants go up and Jericho tells Garcia not to let them into his head, and he had a classic match with Bryan Danielson last week and as far as he’s concerned he slayed the dragon, but afterwards Daniel put hands on him and spun him around, and he wants an apology.

Daniel says Chris knew how special that moment was to him, how special it was to share a ring with his hero, Bryan Danielson. Thirty minutes with his hero, people calling it the greatest match in Dynamite history, and he hung with the best wrestler in the world for thirty minutes.

That match is the kind of match he always dreamt of having sitting at home with his mom in Buffalo, and he got to have it last week, and he only hopes some kid was watching at home and he wants them to feel the same way he felt. And when Bryan stuck his hand out and asked him for respect, he didn’t care if people called him a wrestler or a sports entertainer, all he cared about was that moment, and Jericho ruined that moment for him.

Chris looks conflicted and says he’s sorry he feels that way but there’ll be plenty more moments like that because he’s the greatest technical sports entertainer in the world today and deep down inside he knows he’s a sports entertainer, and he wants to hear him say it.

Enter “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson.

He says he sees that Daniel’s mentor here is trying to bully him into saying that he’s a sports entertainer, and listen, you can be whatever you want, he respects their wrestling from last week and he agrees with all the people that Garcia is a wrestler. Jericho needles him and demands he say he’s a sports entertainer.

Daniel blows up and tells him to stop it, he’s got his hero on one side and his mentor and he can’t make a decision here and now, leave him alone. Chris grabs him and Garcia snaps and shoves him down!

A “you deserve it” chant goes up as Daniel leaves the ring and Jericho stares on. Bryan says he’s not the biggest fan of sports entertainment but that was pretty entertaining! Chris tells him that it pisses him off when people say that Danielson is the best wrestler in the world today, he’s been around him 15 years and hasn’t seen it once.

People might say that Jericho is the greatest wrestler, and you wanna talk wrestling, he’s the last survivor of Stu Hart’s dungeon and he remembers every hold he was taught and has forgotten more about wrestling than Danielson will ever remember. Bryan asks a question, if we were able to ask Stu Hart which of the two is better, what would he say?

Danielson challenges him to a match, American Dragon vs. Lionheart, right now, but Jericho accepts for All Out! Y2J tells him to keep in mind that the last time they shared a ring, he choked him out and put him out for two months, and until then, watch your back because you never know when he’s coming.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, Thunder Rosa is interviewed by Tony Schiavone.

Shaking and crying she says she’s hurt and has to step down as AEW Women’s World Champion and she hopes Toni Storm wins the interim title, and promises she’ll come back bigger and stronger with a chip on her shoulder.

Billy Gunn vs. Colten Gunn

Collar and elbow, arm drag, Colten takes a breather and sits in the turnbuckles. Side headlock, shot off, duck a lariat, whip reversed, big left hand from Gunn the Elder and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Colten punches his dad in the neck and then stomps him in the turnbuckles! Billy closes the distance and hesitates but unloads on his son with right hands and vicious stomps! Swerve in Our Glory make the save and run the Ass Boys off! Keith Lee helps Billy Gunn up.

Tony Schiavone is backstage with Death Triangle and the UNITED EMPIRE.

Will Ospreay says the last time he met PAC it was a thirty minute draw, and he’s glad he’s got his mates with him because it means more gold for the UNITED EMPIRE. PAC says they’re not gonna kill them tonight, they’re gonna murder them, because AEW is Death Triangle territory and they’ll find out the hard way.

And so we go to break.

Dr. Britt Baker, DMD vs. KiLynn King

Throwing kicks, ducking and dodging, King gets a solebutt, off the ropes, sidestep the front kick, duck the lariat, Baker with the Sling Blade! KiLynn with a full nelson, reversed, ripcord rolling elbow, back and forth and Britt catches her with a reverse STO into the middle turnbuckle!

Wrenching her neck over the post, back inside, crucifix pin, piefacing King, she powers up with forearms, Britt kicks her low, off the ropes, sidestep the stomp, roll through, front kick, roundhouse kick, German suplex takes the good doctor off her feet!

Big slam, cover for two, Baker passes her into the turnbuckles, superkick connects, basement superkick, off the ropes, stomp to the back of the head! Britt puts her glove on...

Dr. Britt Baker, DMD wins by submission with Lockjaw.

Post-match, Baker gets on the mic and says it’s a shame about Thunder Rosa, but when she was champ, she worked her entire reign with a broken friggin’ wrist because that’s what champions do. And luckily for Toni Storm, she’ll finally be on PPV with somebody who gives a damn—

Enter Toni Storm.

Jamie Hayter blindsides her and beats her down as Rebel marches into the ring holding up a towel for Baker to drap herself in. The beatdown continues... HIKARU SHIDA MAKES THE SAVE!

Backstage, Tony Schiavone is with Swerve in Our Glory and the Acclaimed.

The champs say they don’t mind saving the Acclaimed because they love them, and they’re a ranked team and they’ve been ranked, and they’d be worthy opponents for the tag titles at All Out. Max Caster says they don’t need the praise or help, and Anthony Bowens says they’re taking the tag titles at All Out.

Jon Moxley wins by pinfall with Paradigm Shift, unifying the AEW World Championship.

Moxley celebrates with both title belts while referees, a medic, and his trainer ace Steel check on Punk.

Tony Schiavone interviews Christian Cage, backstage with his arm in a brace.

Cage says he extended an olive branch to Jungle Boy last week and gave him one last opportunity to apologize for the hateful, personal things that he said, and he knows he said some things too, but he wasn’t coming from a place of malice, that was tough love.

But Jungle Boy couldn’t see that because he thinks he’s better and smarter than he is, but he’ll never be better or smarter than Christian Cage, and now he has the audacity to challenge a living legend to a match at All Out and try to maim him deliberately?

But he’s seen and done it all, and at All Out, Jungle Boy will find out Christian is not average, he’s an anomaly, he’s special, and at All Out, Jungle Boy won’t be able to match up to Cage at less than 100%.

“Absolute” Ricky Starks makes his entrance and gets on the mic.

He says he’s mad and he’s got a lot of stuff to deal with, and he thought he had a real friend in Will Hobbs. He checked on him every week when he broke his neck, but the thing about people wanting to see you do good, is they never want to see you do better than them.

He always made sure Hobbs ate when he did and now he’s got the nerve to sit there and blame him? And then he hits him in the neck, and he KNOWS how close he was to losing all of this again. He considered him a friend, but now he calls him a low-down dirty slimeball scheming snake, and where he’s from, you cut the heads off of snakes.

Bring your five-dollar ass to Chicago and fight him at All Out!

Commentary hypes up our upcoming cards and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Jon Moxley cuts a promo calling out the people who always write him off, and says those people don’t matter and they never did, the truth is the answer to any problem you might have in pro wrestling is always Jon Moxley, and nobody can do what he does like he does.
