AEW RAMPAGE RESULTS FOR MAR. 25

  • Rampage kicks off with Lance Archer making his entrance for a match with Dustin Rhodes. Archer has one of Rhodes’ students on his shoulder, with bad intentions. Dustin interrupts Archer’s entrance to save his student and a brawl ensues. Both men get in the ring and the match officially begins.
  • Dustin is in trouble early on after missing a senton to the outside floor. He is also bleeding from his ear. Archer is in full control and clawing at Dustin’s eyes going into the commercial break. Rhodes explodes with a flurry of punches later in the fight. He mounts Archer on the corner buckle and is hammering his head, finishing the sequence off with an elbow. Dustin nails the Cross Rhodes but it isn’t enough to keep Archer down for the three count. Archer comes back with a full nelson slam, but Rhodes is fired up and kicks out of the pin at one. Archer follows up with a chokeslam for a two count.Archer lifts Rhodes up for the Black Out, but Dustin collapses out of his grip and falls to the mat. Dustin suddenly launches Archer into an exposed turnbuckle in the corner, and he follows up with a quick pin attempt for the win. Dustin Rhodes defeats Lance Archer.
  • Archer is irate. He rams Dustin into the steps and drives his knee into Dustin’s face. Dustin is busted open. His students try to save him but Archer destroys them too. With Dan Lambert encouraging him on, Archer slams the bloody Rhodes through a table on the outside.
  • Jay Lethal is frustrated with his losses to Ricky Starks and Adam Cole, who both had to cheat to beat him. Now those guys will be rewarded with more money and opportunities. There has got to be a better way, and Lethal is going to think about what that better way is.
  • Fuego del Sol is in the ring with a mic. He talks about last week’s match against House of Black and appreciates the fans believing in him. He calls out the House of Black for a fight. The lights go out. Buddy Matthews, Brody King, and Malakai Black are in the ring when the lights return. They immediately annihilate Fuego and leave him for dead. As House of Black makes their exit, the Dark Order comes out and confronts them. They stare each other down with no strikes thrown.
  • Lambert and Men of the Year are backstage for an interview. Scorpio Sky won’t be doing any open challenges as TNT champion because the title is too prestigious for anyone to get a shot without earning it.
  • Back in the ring and it’s reDRagon vs. 5 and 10 of the Dark Order, with no entrances shown. 10 manages to nail a double shoulder block from the middle rope on Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish as we go to commercial. Later in the fight, 5 tags in for a diving crossbody onto Fish and O’Reilly. Kyle comes back with a guillotine on 5, but 10 breaks it up by spinebusting Fish onto the mass of bodies. That doesn’t keep the heels down for long though. They are back up and soon hit their finisher for the win. reDRagon defeats Dark Order.
  • Jurassic Express comes down to the ring after the match. Adam Cole sneaks from behind and steals their AEW tag titles.
  • Nyla Rose is up next against Madi Wrenkowski, who has trained under Thunder Rosa. Nyla hits the Beast Bomb for a squash victory. Nyla Rose defeats Madi Wrenkowski. Chris Jericho (on commentary) names Nyla as his Sports Entertainer of the Week, with an accompanying graphic for the honor.
  • QT Marshall is in the ring to present the “QT Marshall Certificate of Accomplishment” to HOOK. HOOK comes down to the ring looking annoyed. The crowd chants for HOOK while QT is talking about the student surpassing his mentor. Aaron Solo shoots off a confetti gun. HOOK rams Solo’s head through the certificate glass. HOOK exits the ring. Danhausen comes out to put a curse in HOOK, but it doesn’t faze HOOK one bit and he just walks away. Danhausen can’t believe it.
  • Mark Henry interviews Ricky Starks and Swerve Strickland ahead of their FTW title main event match, which is up next. Henry pretty much has to shut both of them up because the trash talk won’t stop.
  • Starks is getting some hometown love from the audience, so there are dueling chants for both wrestlers. Swerve puts Ricky down with a dropkick and taunts his fallen body. Swerve charges him in the corner, but Ricky sidesteps and rams Strickland’s face into the middle buckle as we go to commercial. Later in the fight, Starks plants Swerve with a tornado DDT, but the commentators note that Ricky’s ankle was damaged during the break. Swerve comes back with a knee strike and two clotheslines. He puts Ricky down with a leaping flatliner, but it’s not enough for the three count. Swerve knocks Starks to the outside floor and follows up with a running shooting star press. He rolls Ricky in the ring and tries for the double stomp from the top rope. Starks kicks out of the pin attempt. In one last burst, Ricky Starks goes for a suicide dive, but Swerve counters it. The ref is somehow distracted and so Powerhouse Hobbs runs Strickland over. Starks is able to land his finisher for the win. Ricky Starks defeats Swerve Strickland to retain the FTW title.
  • After the match, Keith Lee shows up and beats up Ricky’s nameless entourage. Lee enters the ring and a brawl ensues. Lee is going at it with Hobbs in the corner while Starks and Strickland exchange blows on the other side of the ring. The bell is ringing amidst the chaos as officials try to restore order.
  • That’s the end of the show!
