After proving he still has it (clap clap clapclapclap) with a win over Darby Allin at All Out, everyone from the fans to his lovely wife April wanted to know - what’s next for CM Punk?
On the Sept. 8 Dynamite, Punk shouted out Brian Pillman, Jr.’s sainted Aunt Linda, and continued hyping tonight’s main event as “Karl Gotch trained king of Pancrase fights local Cincinnati maniac”.
Then he put the matter of his next opponent to the crowd in the Nasty ‘Nati. Before they could give him a clear answer, Taz had heard enough.
Apparently @OfficialTAZ doesn't want to hear @CMPunk bringing up members of #TeamTaz - Tune in NOW to watch #AEWDynamite LIVE on @tntdrama pic.twitter.com/IDaoenwWzB

Smart move on AEW’s part to put the inevitable backlash to Punk cutting a promo on every episode into the storyline. Taz also has a point, because Punk has named Powerhouse Hobbs as one of the young guns he’s excited to work with on several occasions.
This segment seemed to set-up Punk vs. each and every member of Team Taz...

Punk will take Hobbs, he’ll take HOOK. Hell, he’ll even take FTW champ Ricky Starks. And he better be ready, because if you’re gonna jack Taz’s own taunt...
.@CMPunk will definitely get under the skin of @OfficialTAZ with that one - Tune in NOW to watch #AEWDynamite LIVE on @tntdrama. pic.twitter.com/oudQtnHVDN
