AEW All Out 2021 results: Moxley handled Kojima, but not Suzuki

Satoshi Kojima wasn’t a lot of people’s first choice for Jon Moxley’s All Out opponent. Judging by the way Mox greeted him with the bird on Sun., Sept. 5 in Chicagoland, the GCW champion might have been one of those hoping for a splashier name.*

Once Moxley took off his GCW logo-ed hoodie...

... he was all business, and initially seemed like he might have been right to look past the 50 year old bread-lover. But Kojima proved he could go move for move, strike for strike, and bite for bite with the Death Rider.

Mox thought he had the legend with his bulldog submission, but referee Aubrey Edwards told him no. Two Paradigm Shifts ended it, and then a bow proving his disrespect was only kayfabe/gamemanship.

Kojima should have won over the doubters with a fun match, but even if it didn’t, what followed should have satisfied them.

Mox’s old IWGP United States title rival wasn’t just hear for an appearance. Minoru Suzuki came to throw forearms, no sell lariats, and piledrive Moxley into the mat.
