Punk knows who he’d partner with for a Young Bucks match, and it’s kind of a spoiler

The CM Punk media tour rolled on with some time for his old friend and FOX colleague Renee Paquette on her Oral Sessions podcast.

We’ve heard versions of Punk’s answers to most of these questions by now, but his comfort talking to Renee makes this one a fun listen anyway. She’s also able to get just a little more out of him amidst the bants.

Take this exchange during the obligatory “who do you want to work with in AEW?” discussion:

Punk: I want to wrestle Jon. I’ve never wrestled Jon Moxley.

Renee: You have not.

Punk: I want to wrestle Young Bucks. I have to find the right tag partner for that.

Renee: Who would you want to tag with?

Punk: I mean, if we’re fantasy booking...

Renee: We’re fantasy booking.

Punk: When’s this come out?

Renee: Saturday.

Punk: Saturday, uh, okay [both laugh, more like cackle actually]

Renee: I mean, are we just giving away spoilers here?

Punk: I don’t think it’s necessarily giving away spoilers. It’s me putting my booker hat on, of all the possibilities, I would do CM Punk & The American Dragon [Bryan Danielson] vs. The Young Bucks. [Renee makes an extended croaking sound] How do you not? It’s so obvious that’s what you do.

Later on, Paquette asks if he got in any trouble for his YES chant tease on the Aug. 25 Dynamite. Punk says no one said anything to him about it all.

Rumor has it the former Daniel Bryan will debut at All Out tomorrow night (Sept. 5) in Chicagoland, and the “when does this come out” part sure sounds like confirmation to me. Does it mean Tony Khan will greenlight Punk & Danielson vs. The Bucks at some point in the future?

If he does, I’m gonna make that same croaking sound Renee does.
