AEW caps off their biggest month ever with another ratings win

AEW Dynamite

The ratings and viewership data are in for last night’s (Sept. 29) episode of AEW Dynamite.

Per ShowBuzzDaily, Dynamite netted 1,152,000 viewers for a 0.45 rating point in the 18-49 year old demographic. The numbers are down from last week’s results of 1,273,000 and 0.48 in these respective metrics. Dynamite ranked number one in the key demo rating on cable last night.

There was expected to be a drop in the numbers compared to last week’s loaded “Grand Slam” episode, though it was hard to know how steep the drop would be. The results for last night’s episode are similar to the week prior to “Grand Slam”, so AEW is likely satisfied with the results. The demo rating and total viewership are both top 10 all-time numbers for Dynamite. The main question is will AEW be able to maintain and/or grow the impressive September results in the coming months, or will the numbers gradually drop from here as the buzz over the recent signings of CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Ruby Soho, and Adam Cole wears off.

Here’s a breakdown of AEW viewership and rating in the 18-49 demo over the last year:
