Sammy Guevara already got his own TNT title belt

Tay Conti’s Twitter

Don’t think you can accuse AEW of hot-shotting the TNT title onto Sammy Guevara for the Sept. 29 Dynamite in Rochester, New York...

The company has clearly been planning for Guevara to dethrone Miro in Brodie Lee’s hometown for a while. In addition to the post-show angle that established Bobby Fish as the Spanish God’s first challenger, they also had his custom version of the strap ready to go backstage.

Guevara’s version of the belt returns to the black strap, and ditches Miro’s Bulgarian green banner for the traditional red. It’s also blinged out with a rhinestone look that matches Sammy’s bedazzled trunks.

Here are the highlights from last night’s Dynamite, including the show-closing title change. As is AEW’s model these days, YouTube videos are being doled out slowly. But we’ve compiled what they’ve released as of this morning in this playlist, and tried to catch you up with the rest of the episode via Twitter clips below that.

  • High Flying Action and High Drama, What Happened to Arn and Cody?
  • Watch the Dark Order put their Differences Aside on this Special Night
  • Watch the Spanish God Sammy Guevara Defeat God’s Favorite Champion Miro
