Things got very pro wrestling at AEW’s charity softball game

As part of their All Out week festivities in the greater Chicago area, AEW took part in a charity softball game last night.

Members of the All Elite roster faced off against Pro Wrestling Tees employees. The money from the event went to PAWS Chicago, a no kill animal shelter (the organization that helped Larry find his forever home with CM Punk and April “AJ Lee” Mendez, and gave us the merch Punk wore over his AEW/PWT tee for his Rampage debut).

The important thing is they raised more than $13K for homeless cats and dogs. Beyond that, it looks like it was a fun night at the park... in part because it got very pro wrestling.

Which shouldn’t have been surprising Team AEW’s Luther wasn’t even clear on what sport he’d be playing.

At least the Original Death Dealer figured that part out before he tried to use Serpentico for a swinging bunt. Someone should also tell both these guys the bat isn’t allowed to run to first for the batter.

Elsewhere on the night, Shawn Spears lived The Chairman gimmick, driving in a run with a steel chair single. He even called his shot!

My favorite part of both those videos is third base coach Orange Cassidy...

A half-hearted thumbs up to everyone from AEW, PWT & PAWS for this whole silly-yet-absolutely worthwhile event.
