AEW television is all about hair next week

The “Grand Slam” edition of Rampage used its big multi-man matches to set-up action for next week’s AEW shows. And to call attention to the hair of the people in those matches.

We’ve been heading toward Jungle Boy vs. Adam Cole since Cole’s debut at All Out, and the Super Kliq’s win over Christian Cage & Jurassic Express last night (Sept. 24) in Queens was the springboard to finally make it happen. That match is booked for next Wednesday’s Dynamite in Rochester, New York. Maybe it’s just me, but it’s seemed to me Cole is a little threatened by the notion Jack Perry is a younger version of him... and might keep the Panama City Playboy from being able to claim the title of “best hair in AEW”.

This tweet does nothing to disavow me of that notion...

The other big match booked for next week is literally about hair. For weeks, the beef between Matt Hardy and Orange Cassidy has been headed toward a lucha de apuesta. And it is... only Big Money Matt won’t be the won betting something in this fight. He’s tapped Hardy Family Office member Jack Evans to face O.C. in a hair vs. hair match next Friday (Oct. 1) on Rampage.

Cassidy vs. Evans is the only thing booked for next Friday, which will be taped along with Dynamite on Sept. 29 in Rochester’s Blue Cross Arena. Cole vs. Jungle Jack joins the following matches on next Wednesday’s live broadcast:

- Miro (c) vs. Sammy Guevara for the TNT championship
- Tay Conti & Anna Jay vs. Penelope Ford & The Bunny
- Jungle Boy vs. Adam Cole
- Cody Rhodes & Lee Johnson vs. Dante Martin & Matt Sydal
- Thunder Rosa, Nyla Rose & Jade Cargill get mic time
