The show opens into the intro video.

Commentary welcomes us to the show and runs down the card.

“American Dragon” Bryan Danielson vs. Kenny Omega

Oh no I’m crying already.

Both men soak in the crowd for a long moment before squaring up. Collar and elbow, into the ropes, Omega breaks dirty with a chop! Danielson shrugs it off, circling, back to the lockup, into the ropes, and this time Dragon breaks with a kick! Bryan with an arm wringer, trying to force Kenny to the mat, Omega reverses but Dragon reverses right back into a hammerlock.

Kenny grabs the ropes to break but Danielson nails him with a kick to the ribs! Drop down, leapfrog, back roll and a cartwheel as Omega shows off and follows with a chop! Grabbing referee Paul Turner, Kenny is admonished in the corner as they get back in it. Test of strength, Bryan turns it into a wristlock, working the fingers, bending the arm back and stomping the elbow!

Taking Kenny into the corner trading chops and kicks, whip across, Omega with the front kick but Danielson back body drops him to the floor! Off the ropes... SUICIDE DIVE! Back inside, Bryan up top and he drops a knee across Kenny’s arm! Folding the arm to the mat again, stepping on Kenny’s fingers, hooking his nose, Turner tries to warn him off but the American Dragon has until five, referee!

Omega rakes Bryan’s eye in return and chokes him in the corner with a boot! Trading chops, whip reversed and Kenny turns him inside out with a knee to the midsection! Falling knees to the back, kicks to the spine, determination plays out across Dragon’s face and he rises to his feet. Finlay Roll into the moonsault cuts him off but Danielson gets the knees up!

Backflip up and over, off the ropes, Axe Bomber! Corner dropkick, Omega on the back foot, chest kicks in the corner, up top, avalanche Frankensteiner! Whip to the corner, ducking and dodging, Kenny snaps off a Frankensteiner and Bryan rolls to the floor! Omega off the ropes... TOPE CON GIRO! Back inside, Kotaro Crusher denied, trading pins... CATTLE MUTILATION! BRYAN HAS CATTLE MUTILATION IN BUT OMEGA GETS THE ROPES!

Kenny runs to the safety of the ramp... DRAGON WITH A SPRINGBOARD KNEE! Calling his shot from the top of the ramp, Bryan closes in and fires off the chest kicks! DRAGON SUPLEX ON THE RAMP! Referee Paul Turner checks on Danielson, Omega with a head of steam... V-TRIGGER IN THE ROPES AND WE’VE GOT TO GO TO BREAK!

Back from commercial, Omega drags Danielson in the ring and hoists him up... POWERBOMB INTO THE ROPES! Back inside for a cover, no dice, Dragon reverses a Dragon suplex attempt into a pin for two and then eats a kick to the back that sends him crashing into the turnbuckles! Up top and jockeying for position... THE BACK SUPERPLEX IS YOUR FIVE MINUTE WARNING!

Both men down, referee Paul Turner counting but they’re up at six and Bryan is kicking! Kenny catches one and starts throwing jabs, Bryan returning left-hand jabs, roundhouse, but he runs into a V-Trigger! DANIELSON COUNTERS A FOLLOW-UP WITH A ROLLING ELBOW, REGALPLEX FOLLOWS... ONLY TWO! Bryan stumbling back into the corner, trying to figure out how to take Omega out, he goes up top but Kenny cuts him off!

Jockeying for position, Omega with headbutts and overhead elbows... DRAGON SUPERPLEX CANNOT KEEP THE AMERICAN DRAGON DOWN! Bryan in the ropes, Kenny calling his shot... V-TRIGGER! Electric chair... DANIELSON REVERSES TO A POISON FRANKENSTEINER! Sidestep another V-Trigger, buzzsaw roundhouse kick takes Omega’s head off!

American Dragon getting fired up... BUSAIKU KNEE COUNTERED INTO A POWERBOMB! V-TRIGGER CONNECTS BUT BRYAN KICKS OUT! Omega goes up top... DANIELSON ROLLS AWAY FROM THE PHOENIX SPLASH! Dragon’s chest all marked up, his forehead bruised, rising to his feet like a god of war and violence to get into a slugfest with Kenny!

Knocking him to seated, another buzzsaw roundhouse kick connects, double wristlocks... “YOU’RE GONNA GET YOUR [REDACTED] HEAD KICKED IN!” Omoplata applied with one minute remaining but Omega gets the ropes! Trading headbutts and punches on their knees and to their feet, Dragon with kicks, Kenny with chops... THAT’S THE BELL! IT’S A DRAW!

The match goes to a time-limit draw.

Post-match Danielson keeps trying to put the LeBell Lock on but the Elite run down to save their man! THE BUCKS AND ADAM COLE WITH A SUPERKICK PARTY ON THE AMERICAN DRAGON! JURASSIC EXPRESS AND CHRISTIAN CAGE MAKE THE SAVE!

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, CM Punk makes his entrance and gets on the mic.

He talks about how it’s been a long time since he’s been in New York City and even longer since pro wrestling has been in New York City. People tell him he needs to be pissed off and they want the old CM Punk, and eventually you’ll see him, but be careful what you wish for. He calls out Team Taz, saying he tried to walk down the aisle and mean mug but he sees and hears the crowd and he cracks a smile.

And really, what does he have to be mad about right now? But then he thinks about it, last week they tricked him, jumped him, and tried to put him through a table, and yes it pissed him off and yes he’s mad about it, but when his music hits and he steps out on that stage, he can’t help but feel how he feels and that pissed off feeling goes away and yes he’s smiling and happy to see us.

Of course he thinks what Team Taz did was try and take all of this away, and it’s been so long since he had this, and he needs it. He gets pissed off because nobody is going to take this away from him, not now that it’s his once again. At Rampage Grand Slam, Powerhouse Hobbs goes to sleep.

And so we go to break.

Brian Pillman, Jr. vs. Maxwell Jacob Friedman

Pillman hot out the gates, beating Freidman down and laying forearms in in the corner. Max turns him around but Brian outsmarts him and cuts him back off. MJF to his feet, big slap and Pillman returns it with one of his own! Friedman with a stomp to the and, top wristlock applied, BPJ with a sunset flip, a backslide, big right hands but MJF counters with an arm wringer that sends us to break.

Back from commercial, Friedman in control but Pillman ducks under and throws chops and forearms, whip blocked, whip reversed, up and over, springboard crossbody from Brian but his arm is too injured to follow up on it! Smashing MJF’s face into the turnbuckles over and over, powerslam for two! Max rolls to the floor and grabs Julia Hart to block a suicide dive before dropping Brian with a lariat!

Putting him back inside, Julia jaws at him and piefaces him, he grabs a wristlock on her but Pillman nails him with a dropkick through the ropes! Back inside, springboard countered...

Maxwell Jacob Friedman wins by submission with Salt of the Earth.

Chris Jericho and Jake Hager are interviewed backstage.

Jake Hager calls the Men of the Year the Boys of the Week and says they’re about to be spanked because they follow a fat-faced dipshit. Jericho says they made a mistake challenging the Inner Circle in New York City because Bigg Hoss and Le Champion are the hardest-hitting team in AEW. If Dan Lambert sticks his nose in their business again, he’s gonna bite his nose off like Haku in Japan and spit it into the crowd.

As far as American Top Team goes, their ready to snack on some MMA meatheads, bring it on!

Cody Rhodes vs. Malakai Black

Rhodes with a single leg takedown, Black picks his leg in return, roll-through, stalemate. Trading forearms, drop-down slap, Malakai with a legsweep, roll-through cloverleaf attempt but Cody gets away and rolls to the floor, Black with a springboard into a taunt and Brandi Rhodes flips him the bird! Back inside, Malakai looking for an octopus hold but Cody is just a little too upright and he gets the ropes.

Sunset flip for two, Rhodes scrambles away but has the wherewithal to pass Black to the ramp! Cody springboards into a knee and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Black nails Rhodes with a kick that sends him limp to the floor! Back inside, off the ropes, Cody with the chop block! Sidestep the charge but Malaki knees the turnbuckles! He blocks a followup and elbows Rhodes to the ramp! A kick through the ropes is caught into a dragon screw in the ropes!

Back elbow from Black, chest kick but his knee comes up lame and Cody is able to get an inverted facelock! Blocked, stomp the back of the knee, charging in but Malakai counters with a tossing back suplex! Cody Cutter, Cross Rhodes... MALAKAI BLACK KICKS OUT! Arn Anderson tries to get involved but Cody accidentally cuts him off and has to tend to him.

Arn shoves him and tells him to get back in there and so Rhodes walks around the way, back inside, Black with the mist...

Malakai Black wins by pinfall with a small package.

We get a video package for Sammy Guevara vs. Miro to send us to break.

Darby Allin & Sting vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood)

Harwood and Allin to start, Dax trying to pull him into the corner for the quick tag but Darby gets away and tags Sting in! Pushing Wheeler into the ropes, test of strength but Harwood gets involved and Cash beats him down! The Icon gets his bearings and turns the tide but Dax pulls Wheeler out of the way of the Stinger Splash!

Beating Sting down in their corner, the Icon runs the ropes and ducks a lariat, laying Dax out but he’s out of gas and falls into an accidental headbutt to Harwood’s gentleman’s area! Tag to Darby, running hot, dropkick but he gets caught on a dive and put face-first into the apron to send us to break!

Back from commercial, Allin trying to fight out of the corner but FTR have him overwhelmed. Whip to the corner, up and over, leaping for the tag but he gets caught! Roll under, tag to Sting! Double bulldog, clothesline sends Wheeler to the floor and right hands stagger Harwood before the Icon hits a spinebuster... NOPE!

Countering a Tombstone, thinking about the Scorpion Death Drop but he has to save Darby! Stinger Splash on both guys, Scorpion Death Drop on Wheeler!

Dax legal, Sting fired up, charging in and he stops himself short of a chair Tully Blanchard has wedged in the corner! Putting Harwood through it, Scorpion Deathlock applied! Allin up top, Coffin Drop on Wheeler...

Darby Allin & Sting win by submission with the Scorpion Deathlock from Sting on Dax Harwood.

We get a video package for Dr. Britt Baker, DMD vs. Ruby Soho, our main event.

We get a preview for the Rhodes Family reality show to send us to break.

Back from commercial, commentary hypes up our special two-hour edition of Rampage this week.

Dr. Britt Baker, DMD (c) vs. Ruby Soho (AEW Women’s World Championship)

Collar and elbow, back heel trip from Soho and she slams Baker’s head into the mat repeatedly. Britt swings her around into an armbar attempt but Ruby slips out. Wristlock, go-behind, side headlock, shot off, Soho with a knee and a wristlock but the doctor bails to the floor to regroup with her pals.

Ruby up top, diving crossbody takes Rebel and Jamie Hayter out but she walks into a superkick from Baker! Front chancery hanging off the apron... DRAGON SCREW NECK WHIP ON THE FLOOR SENDS US TO BREAK!

Back from commercial, Soho with a running kick in the corner, another one, fisherman neckbreaker countered into the Saito suplex! Both women down and out, rising to their feet to trade forearms, Ruby with headbutts and uppercuts, whip blocked, side Russian legsweep, roll through but Soho breaks out and draws her up. Back suplex blocked, right hands, shot off, duck the lariat, Sling Blade connects!

Off the ropes, block the stomp with an inverted half-crab! My computer locks up and I miss a minute or two, jockeying for position, avalanche Air Raid Crash... NOT ENOUGH! Action to the floor, Britt with a stomp against thes teps, kick to the face, Hayter prowling but referee Aubrey Edwards has an eye on her, stomp... NOPE! Folding press from the challenger... STILL NO! No Future connects but Rebel and Jamie run interference and Britt is able to put Lockjaw on! It’s over!

Dr. Britt Baker, DMD wins by submission with Lockjaw to retain the AEW Women’s World Championship.

That’s the show, folks.
