Dynamite beats Raw again

The ratings and viewership data are in for last night’s (Sept. 15) episode of AEW Dynamite.

Per ShowBuzzDaily, Dynamite netted 1,175,000 viewers for a 0.44 rating point in the 18-49 year old demographic. The numbers are down from last week’s results of 1,319,000 and 0.52 in these respective metrics. Dynamite ranked number one in the key demo rating on cable last night.

Even with the drop compared to last week’s All Out fallout show, Dynamite managed to beat WWE Raw in the key demo rating for the second week in a row. Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston notes that 574,000 of Dynamite’s viewers landed in the key demo, as opposed to 556,000 for this week’s Raw. Dynamite’s win came with a big assist from the NFL’s Monday Night Football premiere, of course.

I’d argue this week’s episode of Dynamite was a relatively lackluster card on paper, without a must-watch main event attraction. They’ve geared all of their stories with a focus on drawing a big number for their stacked Grand Slam shows in New York City next week, so expectations are incredibly high for those results.
