The New Jersey fans were excited to see Punk, Cole, and pretty much anything AEW had to offer. They were hot for The Elite’s recently resurrected teammate, and Cole rode that wave of momentum in the early going against Frankie Kazarian. Kaz, still looking for revenge for Christopher Daniels, fought back. The Elite Hunter impressed Punk with his innovative submissions.

The Panama City Playboy wasn’t going to lose his first AEW match, though. A Panama Sunrise and the Last Shot running knee ended things.

Cole wasn’t done for the night yet, though. He grabbed a mic for story time (BAY BAY), and said there were three guys in the locker room who’ve gotten under his skin - Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and Jungle Boy. So for next week’s “Grand Slam” edition of Rampage in New York City, the Bullet Club subgroup the Superkliq is back... it’ll be Adam Cole & The Young Bucks vs. Christian & Jurassic Express.
.@AdamColePro lays down the gauntlet to @boy_myth_legend, @luchasaurus & @Christian4Peeps to face him and the @youngbucks on next week's #AEWRampage Grand Slam!
