AEW released their latest rankings (Sep. 15, 2021). Let’s check out the movers and shakers.

Jon Moxley flipped with Jungle Boy into #3 from #5. Moxley was propelled by his win over Minoru Suzuki. In a logical world, Mox’s rise would have pushed JB to #4 and Christian Cage to #5. For whatever reason, Jungle Boy boy fell below Christian even though neither man had a singles match in the past seven days.
The top 5 presents a curious scenario to create challengers for Kenny Omega and the AEW World Championship. Four of the five already participated in world title matches with Omega. Will Hobbs is the odd man out. It will be interesting to see who AEW picks next and the justification for why. Bryan Danielson is also trying to jump the line. Will he have to wait until next year when the records reset?

Jade Cargill continues to rise up the charts. She leapfrogged a samurai and an alien into #3. Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander dropped one spot respectively. Cargill has a chance to make a statement tonight by competing against Leyla Hirsch on Dynamite.
Tag Team:

A surprising team has emerged in the top spot. Butcher & Blade are the new #1. Two dominant wins over inferior competition on Elevation and Dark boosted their status from #3. The Young Bucks have been healing their physical and emotional wounds about losing the tag titles to the Lucha Bros, so their inactivity dropped them to #2. That means Jurassic Express was pushed to #3. FTR replaced the Varsity Blonds at #5.
Do you agree with AEW’s rankings this week? If not, what would you change?
